another dopie newbie question

Hi, All,

New here and I'm struggling a bit with the forums. When I click on a thread I'd like to read, the messages are all displayed bass-akwards, as my dearly departed mom used to say; the last message to be posted to a thread is the first message at the top of the page, and the original message is actually the last message on the last page. I'm sure there's some obvious way to change this, but after clicking around on the various display modes, I still haven't found it. I'm a fan of Matthew 20:16 "So the last shall be first, and the first last" but I kinda like to read the messages in a thread in the order in which they were posted. :D

Help?

Shirley

If you go to your user control panel, and then to Edit Options, there is an option to have the threads show Linear - Oldest First. I have mine set to that and then I have 40 posts per page so I don';t have to wait as long for pages to load. ;)

Please don't hesitate to jump into the forums feet first and if you need help, just holler. We are a pretty good-natured, easy going and laid back forum and we want everyone to be super comfy and happy here.

Just wait until you want to figure out how to put a picture of a layout in a post! LOL! We get that one constantly. We just keep bumping the directions for it I think! Ha ha ha. Everyone has these questions when they start, so they aren't dopey!!!! :)

bwahahaha... I don't have to be so dopey now because Ms.Mouse Shirley asked what I hadn't got around to asking. Plus I still hadn't formulated the ? in words. bass ackwards indeed. A phrase from my childhood too.

But now that one question is resolved, I'm going to wait for my 2nd day to figure out how to upload to a gallery! and yes, I'll look for stickies to read the 'how to's.

Thanks for asking that Shirley, I was trying to fix that myself. So much new to figure out. I kind of feel like a fish out of water - but I am slowing getting the hang of things myself.
