I am EXCELLENT at finding things!!! LOL I wish I lived closer to you to help you look for them :rotfl: I think it is me walking through the house and noticing things and then knowing the normal places that the peeps in my house tend to leave things...lol If it is ME that lost something...well, that doesn't happen very often (I usually put stuff away in the same place as usual because I don't want to deal with that), but it is more difficult! It is mainly with other peeps I can find their stuff :giggle4:

Who loses things?????

I can't find my close-up glasses ANYWHERE. I know they're in my house somewhere, but I cannot find them.

The good news is I have been trying to get used to my new bifocals and now I have no choice. :giggle4::giggle4::giggle4:
Well you need to have a chat with Chuck, he most probably hid them so that you would get used to your new glasses!!! :heartpumpred: :giggle4: I am forever asking my Mum to tell me where things are when I lose them! Nine times out of ten I find said items not long after asking. And when I do find it I always say "Thanks Mummy :heartpumppink:" :giggle4:

Now when it comes to hubby losing something, knowing his 'normal' places of leaving things, it isn't too hard to find his lost object! :floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

Girl..................I wish you lived closer - I have been all over this house and they're just gone. I know they're not - they're just "hiding" probably under a chair or the couch. :giggle4: :giggle4: :giggle4:

I only have 1 pair of glasses and they are the last thing I take off at night and the first thing I put on in the morning so they are either on my face or the counter in the bathroom.
That's what I'm supposed to do, Vicky. I got new bifocal's about 3 months ago. I just can't get used to working at the computer in them. So, I'm "cheating" every day. Maybe this is a way of telling me I have to get used to them.

I am holding off on getting bifocal anything, I have one pair of readers now...I keep them safely on my desk, I think I should probably buy more, just in case! lol And Tim is often looking for his just regular glasses, but because he has SO many reading glasses around the house, I forget what is what.. I also have to say that he grew up with his family calling the reader glasses "cheaters"....I don't like that...LOL It just hits me wrong and harsh... :giggle4: Anyhoodle....yeah, I want to buy more reader glasses that are COOL....I only have one pair that I like, and I keep them at my desk.....

Ona @wombat146 why didn't, I think of asking Chuck??? He would know exactly where they are. He always di t or he'd say "retrace your steps". Hahaha

Thanks for reminding me. I'm glad I'm not the only one. I have literally looked everywhere today. I'll find them in some "stilly place". :lol23: :lol23:

Jenn @joyfulheartdesigns people call them "cheater" all the time. When I could get by with readers, I had them everywhere. I used to get them for about $10 a pair. I HATE my bifocals for working at my big monitor. I have to "crane" my neck back to see. I guess everybody has to get used to them. They're great for just wearing otherwise plus I got the transition lenses so I don't have to have sunglasses anymore.

@joyfulheartdesigns Jenn I have several pairs of cheap readers all over the place, my 'good' ones stay on my desk but I have a cheap pair in my handbag for when I go shopping and need to read that ittybitty text in the ingredients of a product; a pair in the kitchen to read recipes; a pair in bathroom to read instructions for any creams etc. and another pair in the car if I need them. The cheap ones are not prescription but I don't have them on for long to do any harm. :) and cheaters??? what the heck, what do they mean by that? heck, it's an aid to help you see, your not in any competition!! lol!! people have strange ideas sometimes! :monkebootie:

Ona, @wombat I think people call them "cheaters" because you can "cheat" on paying hundreds of dollars for a pair of glasses. However, as many pairs as some of us have/had - I wonder how much they total up to over the years??? :floorlaugh: :floorlaugh:

Oh my, do I relate to this topic, I am forever losing things. What makes me crazy is that I will look all over the place, multiple times and then suddenly find them staring me in the face in a place I've looked previously! Gremlins!!!!
What really worries me is what I call "The underwear Drawer", AKA, not focused or paying attention. You know, when you're walking around with your glasses and in the middle of doing something put them there too? I've even checked the refrigerator if I've been in there recently. Or if you're at your dresser putting underwear away and they fall in without you realizing to a place you'd never think to look and isn't easily visible! Oh my...... o_O

I used to have multiple pairs of readers all over and at least half of them were currently lost or left at someone's house. Sometimes they'd even come home but the balance didn't shift much because in the meantime I'd lost others! I bought them at the Dollar Tree and they worked perfectly. :D

Cheryl, I know others who had difficulty getting used to bifocals and one person who does solely computer work said the same thing. She can see far, then closeup, but there's this space in between where she just can't see and the bifocals aren't doing it.

Sending very fervent positive thoughts for you to find yours and for help with your bifocals, I know how annoyinf and frustrating this all is - crazy making!!! Good luck. :beatingheart:

PS Have to admit it does me good to see I'm not the only one who loses things. I can see I'm in very good company!

LOL you ladies are so funny. Years ago when I wore readers I was looking all over for them so I could read a book to granddaughter..she laughed and said "Grammy they are on your head" I wear contacts now so I can usually see but phone is another story....I often loose that. I am forever having someone call me so I can go find it.

I hate to say it but I think most of these problems have to do with age.LOL

Are yours the line bifocals or the progressive? I have the progressives. I had no problems with adjusting to them!

Marilyn @MariJ what great suggestions. I have not looked in the refrigerator yet. I got up this morning and looked in all the "weird" places and no luck. I've even moved one big recliner - not under there. I haven't looked in my underwear drawer yet - great suggestion. I'm fearing that they might have gotten knocked off my big work table into the large can I keep in my office/craft room. UGH I've found them in some weird places because when I walk around in them, I can't see very well, so I take them off and lay them anywhere. I even looked in all the windowsills.

Vicky, @vickyday the doctor suggested the line bifocals since these are my first pair. I have mild vertigo and she was afraid the no line bifocals would make me dizzy.
