I love the "O"

Next Monday it will already be 4 weeks since my father passed away.
Even though he himself indicated that it was enough for him, we were at peace with the fact that he was no longer physically able to cope.
But the loss is enormous, and the void he leaves behind is so great.
I focused on mental peace for a while, sitting in my garden and taking some photos and luckily my granddaughter Oone, 9 weeks old, is now my ray of hope and can make me laugh again.

My thoughts are with you Vera. My Dad died way back in 2005 but there is still a void in my life when little things come up that I would love for him to be here with me.
Grandchildren can bring us such joy. I hope little Oone keeps in good health and grows up happy.

Welcome back Vera. I also understand the recent loss of a parent. My mom died 12 weeks ago yesterday. I'm glad you're finding comfort and joy with your grand daughter and finding peace in your garden. Be gentle with yourself as you navigate these next days and weeks. Do what you decide you can, and then REST! Hugs to you. :hug4:

Sorry for your loss Vera. :heartpumppink: I lost my dad in 2011 and there will always be a hole in my heart. My father in law passed in January and he also left a hole. Those dad are so special and it hurts when they leave us. I am glad you have Oone to snuggle and shower with love. :hug2:

Some nice to see you back Vera, and it's lovely to hear that you have little Oone to bring some sunshine into your life. I don't think you 'ever' get over losing your parents, my Mum passed away in 1995 and I still think of her often and sometimes have a chat with her in the garden! lol! You just learn to cope without them but having little ones around always makes it easier. xxx

You are also still in deep mourning, so I would like to offer my condolences for the loss of your mother.

That's right, Ona, losing a parent is very drastic, especially if you have already lost both of them. You've lost your home...
But I look back on it with fond memories.
