OMG, we are 2 weeks away from our new beautiful house!!
I'm actually a bit upset that it is almost finished but we have to wait the 27 to get the keys because the company has a 2 days open-house on the previous week-end... Damitt!!
We already started packing and it's hard to focus on scrap when you have ideas for furniture or decorating in your head aaaaaall the time :pound:

We already have friends coming over for the big holiday week here in Japan but I'll make sure they have futon to sleep on before anything else :pound:

I'm so excited!!!
Here are a few shots we took last Thursday. All the wall papers are done. The lighting too and they just needed to install the AC I think. Curtains should come soon too, maybe next week we can get a pick at the final product.

 :clap2: :whoo:

I'm very happy with our choice of lighting for the living high ceiling and for my kitchen counter. Love the 3 little lamps.

Anyway, sorry to do such a fuss with this but this is a huge deal for us and there was a time I thought I would never be able to enjoy a house to ourselves. It is now possible. Life is too short but now at least I can live it in a place I am proud of :cheer2:

That looks beautiful!! We're currently renovating our home so I know how hard it can be to wait! Hopefully the next couple weeks will just fly.

Yes, in Tokyo we had sometimes 35 and more in the summer. Some office district can reach 40+ because of lots of windows and the pavement burning hot but I didn't go in those kind of places. The biggest problem for me is the humidity. Hot could be OK if I can open my windows and try to catch some breeze but nope, we get to have the humid hot air only bleeh. Hate it!
The first years we were here in the Tohoku region it was actually pretty nice in the summer and it was the first time I didn't need to put on the AC since I arrived in Japan, but it got worse with time and now it's hot and humid here too. Not maybe as much as in Tokyo or worse in the south, but still a pain to endure. I haven't been raised in a hot place so I'm not used to it lol Brittany can be sunny (YES IT CAN!!) but not that hot and humid ;)
