We were working in the yard on a gorgeous autumn day. It was just too gorgeous to work. The little red Corvette came out of the garage and we cruised along the winding roads of the park, enjoying the sunshine and fall foliage.

I used Reflection by Natali to create my layout. The photograph is mine and was taken on our property.

The background is light colored paper paired with a flowered patterned paper to which I added a layer mask and then used a black to transparent gradient on the mask.
I wanted to embrace the storybook aspect of the challenge, but since the kit I was using didn't have a book element and I didn't feel like looking for one from another kit, I decided to make my own. There was a stacked style paper in the kit, so I took that, duplicated it, and then played around...
To make this scene I started with a background that would blend in with the foreground. From there I chose two of the transfers, blended them to get the perspective correct and to created an outdoor patio. Next I added the characters, again matching the perspective and scale.
