The butterfly, seagulls, lizard and hibiscus are all extractions from my own photos.
I created the painted look for the notebook background by clipping one of the artsy papers to the notebook element and setting the blend mode to Darker Color.

I had to make two pages for the April Week 2 AJ Challenges. I love avocados and when I saw this adorable kit by Sarapullka Scraps, I knew I had to make a page. I love the vintage woman and I even put an avocado in her hand.

Created for April Art Journal Challenge 1 - Mornings
The base for the page consists of two layers. The bottom layer is a paper from the Lorie Davison's landscape papers. I then added one of Rachel Jefferies painted masks and applied a green color overlay and used a blend mode of soft light.
I created the affirmation card separately and then moved it to the main page. I used Joyful Heart Designs Blooming Patterned Papers and the the elements and mixed media portions of In My Heart from Lynn Grieveson for the elements. For the washi tape I used to attach the card to the main page, I...
