I know! I didn't realize the ground was broken on 9/11 until I did the research. I was a bit surprised.

My great uncle Don lived in Bridgeport and the artist was local. You being in NJ it would not surprise me if you had a similar painting.

It would not surprise me if they were constructed at the same time. The image of the hospital is an old postcard from the time period I think I purchased this one from eBay.

The photograph of the school itself is a current image.

I am so grateful that my mom took the slides she did. I found my patch in my baby book along with a certificate for completing kindergarten.

In later years it occurred to me that it was very rare to see a nun express any kind of grief. I think most of the students knew that intuitively making an impact on the situation that was far deeper than we realized.
