We had just reminded ourselves that you don't always get a golden hour even on a beautiful sunny morning when our stop a minute before was just OK. You saw a road and there was an open area so you drove on in. For the next little while, it was all about beautiful warm golden sun & shadows.
We drove up the mountain in the dark so I warned I'd want to stop along the way back down. The pullout didn't look promising, and there were campers having breakfast right at the picnic table by the road. I stayed away from them and took a video to remember the sound of the waterfalls.
Woah! We'd never heard of step-grandparents, and never imagined children in our lives at our age, even though Kate had wanted to be a mommy since she was two. I was happy for her that her lifelong dream was coming true. She could focus beyond siezures & headaches.
Love it. Wonderful story and great page design (the photos, the red, and the knife and spoon tied with the bow. But who invited Seth and what were they thinking? :D
For our last day, we left at 5:45am for San Diego Canyon Overlook. It was overgrown and there was no view of the canyon at sunrise, so we took the road at Jemez Springs, stopped at a wonderful overlook as the sun came over the mountain, and spent a few minutes at Fenton Lake State Park.
