Most of the photos they took on the trip were only of family, except for the Coolidge Dam. I've interspersed other photos when I can find ones that are not copyrighted and fit the story. I spend waaay too much time searching for just the right photo.

I'm sure the Salton Sea was a beauty in 1930. It was still nice in the 1970's, but such a shame the horrible condition it's in today.

This is an awesome layout! Love the flow of color horizontally with the photos. In the early 1970's I was one of the switchboard operators for a large airport hotel in Los Angeles. The board filling with lights, and cords crisscrossed everywhere. What fun!
