The photo of my parents was in color but badly faded so I just made it B&W. It was also small and grainy but the enhancement feature at the genealogy site MyHeritage made it much better. Here I've given it a warm tone to go with the colors.
Blue Dasher is a common dragonfly here with many over the pond this day, even one that held still a bit. Summer feel to a day with lots of dragonflies.
Thinking of the Day of the Dead and skeletons, I want to share a photo from years ago. I did a little ofrenda when a birding friend had died. The skeletons were what was meant as a Halloween card. I keep it and sometimes put it out at Halloween. Good thing we're all into skeleton images. :D
Hot, humid, and raining here, but just the normal stuff.
Chris @faerywings love the bride of Braxton! She looks really cute and so thoughtful. ;) As to Irresistible, like may be the wrong word but I do think you'd appreciate it. We got it on DVD from the library. Knew you'd understand about...
Since this is the weekend edition, must be the weekend. Hard to tell. Just know it's pretty hot and agree where did August go? Not ready!! We've been watching some interesting movies from the library. We got the old Dune just because there's a new one I guess. I thought I'd forgotten the story...
Chris @faerywings I must be dense but DH and I agree we'd pick out the bug and eat the pasta. It has been well boiled after all. Or is it just not vegetarian any more? So sorry for the stress it all caused you. Sounds like way too much to handle. Also want to say about your mother's pillow...
Diane, how heartbreaking! Your page is so evocative of the pain and distress but beautifully done. Wish the world weren't like that but so glad you're getting past it a bit.
There really wasn't much to see on the lake that day - until the Osprey appeared. Changed everything! Lake photo mine (with DH's new camera) but the flight shot is his.
