Hearing and seeing the frogs on the 18th was so wonderful and even better with the dragonflies. I wanted to photograph the frogs but only got lines in the water.

Once again, another 8 days of photos. I forgot to post it yesterday so now I've got day 65 waiting too. The prompt is yellow and I enjoyed doing it.

Out taking photos in the neighborhood I was delighted to find a dandelion blooming in an improbable place, a crack in the sidewalk. Seems inspirational!

Another 8 days of photos and we're over halfway through. The one for "strike a pose" was fun as I did it holding my eclipse themed mixed media while out in the front yard watching the early phase of the eclipse.

Rearranging is harder that it sounds! Great challenge, Diane.

Gadwall males are handsome though subtly colored ducks. These photos from our birding in the rain on April 11 show a male and a preening pair. There the colors hidden in the folded wing become visible.

These are my photos, not as sharp as they could be as I'm not as steady-handed anymore. and this is what I scrapped 7 years ago when we had a partial eclipse here:

We had about 4 minutes of total eclipse and it got really dark. You could look at it during totality and so I got photos with my regular camera then and also of how dark it was. Really amazing.

We are geared up for the total eclipse in a bit. Looked like we'd have clouds from the forecasts for a long time, but so far it's sunny and should be amazing. And absolutely, don't view the sun without the special glasses.

Red-breasted Mergansers are sea ducks that are plentiful on Lake Erie. We enjoy seeing them in migration and during the winter. Displaying males in the spring are an added delight.
