This page was inspired by Anna Aspnes' class Elevate with Adjustment Layers. Sometimes it's just fun to play without the worry of creating a page for a book project.
I liked Bert & Ernie. My kids loved the Count. They would sing the 'counting song' over and over... It's true that a picture is worth a thousand words. All kinds of memories popping up while making this. I'll journal those memories on an adjoining page.
Another page for the lyrics book. I didn't grow up with this song but I have memories of my kids playing with the toy characters and listening to a cassette tape of all the Sesame Street songs. Lots of playing with adjustment layers & blending modes.
Inspired by AnnaColor Challenge 3.31.23-4.13.23. Still lots of snow on the ground but the sun is shinning and the temperature is rising. I've taken a little (a lot) of creative license with my lyrics.
You've brought me to tears and made me smile all at the same time. Thank you so very much for your very kind words and the Stand O. I struggled a bit with this layout but had fun creating. I'm thrilled that you like it.
Released in 1971, Stairway to Heaven, is still played at school dances around the world. Used my photo of a western Canadian forest and a photo from Unsplash, taken in the Netherlands, to create the staircase.
The song, released in 1972, is Rocky Mountain High by John Denver. Nine years later I packed my bags and moved across the country to the Canadian Rockies. The lyrics have been altered slightly to reflect my story.
This page is inspired by a beautiful song about loss and caring for a loved one with dementia/Alzheimer's. Song by Canadian singer/song writer Jann Arden. Hugs to those who have been on or are on this journey.
I like how you've used the wooden frame. (I haven't found the right project to use it with, yet). Your grandson is going to love these memories when he is much older. Such a wonderful gift you are creating for the both of you.
Music is everywhere. I discovered this song while watching a recent episode of Grey's Anatomy. The music and lyrics felt so nice I added it to my playlist. Listening to the full song by Milck inspired me to create this page.
