Love the photo! And the way you used split background to work around the visual dividing line in the photo. Very creative and adds a sense of duality and being together while apart (the mapped paper becomes even more relevant here)... And having it on your wall is such a great way to celebrate...

    Choosing the right kit...

Yep... there is a lot of staring at a blank screen happening here too...

Thanks... I discovered the beauty of (and ease of working with) black and white a while ago - together with the monochrome palette - that I now have to force myself to use color in my pages as I tend to gravitate to the same neutral palette...

    Choosing the right kit...

@LSlycord and @scribler I think everyone can related to feeling not good enough as we all tend to be our own toughest critics. I often look at other people's pages and despair - why can't I create something like this? As some of you might have noticed, I can't seem to be able to start a page...

I really like it when layouts have journaling, and yours describes a perfect day out in the nature. I like the horizonal flow of your page and how you used the background pattern to visually divide the page into thirds.

Here is another page made with Anna's FotoInspired template. I love the artsy pocket style that allows me to put multiple photos on the page without feeling the constraint that comes with the traditional pocket style - does that even make sense? Note on the journaling and a quick tip to those...

I love your heritage layouts and I love reading your stories. I know you said your layout is simple, but there is beauty in simplicity... your page is elegant and doesn't detract from the story and photos it features.

Let's talk about our favorite books!

I love stories. These days I prefer audiobooks to actual reading - a good narrator really makes the story come alive! Here's my list: Classics -The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas Non-Fiction - Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari Chick Lit -Daniel Steel and Nora Roberts were my go-to when I was...

    Choosing the right kit...

I was looking for a kit to scrap my daughter's birthday and came across this gem by Lynn Grieveson called Rather Be Me. I got it because the name appealed to me... only to realize that it didn't really color-match my photos... Which turned out to be a blessing in disguise as it allowed me to...
