I love the addition of your personal journaling to it. So many heritage pages (and normal pages as well) show none of that. I try, but many times I fall short since I don't know the story and no one is left to ask...

And one more. This one features my 1st cousin once-removed. I recognize the street and buildings behind her. She lived in the home I was raised in. Taken circa 1941, the empty lot behind her is now filled with small single-family dwellings.
Gosh, I've not updated this post with some of my more recent heritage layouts. Doing this now. This one is not particularly old, from 1946, but I still think it can count. :-) My first cousin Judy/Judi is the little one here, posing with her friend.
