Meet Theo, she is my new dragon who watches over my gardens.
I needed the photo to be large for the challenge, so I made a clipping mask and then added a layer mask to the clipping mask. I used distressing brushes on the layer mask to erase some of the background of the photo, allowing the other elements to peek through. I wanted to keep her texture somewhat grungy but I didn't want her blended so I added a layer style (Texture underneath Bevel/Emboss) to the clipping mask and then adjusted the scale and depth of the pattern.
