The Kissing Hand by Audrey Penn was one of my favorite books to read to my kids. When I started this challenge, I knew that I wanted to use this book as my inspiration. So many years, later, it still means so much to me!

Journaling reads:
When Scott was in kindergarten, he had a tough time adjusting to being away from home. His teacher lent him The Kissing Hand so we could read it together. It helped him to remember how much I loved him. Reading this book together was a highlight of our day. When Caitlyn began kindergarten two years later, Kissing Hands became part of our morning routine, with both kids getting kisses on their palms. Last year, Cait was having a rough time in high school, so while we were waiting for the bus, I took her hand, kissed her palm, and closed her fingers over it. She looked at me, smiled, and placed her palm to her cheek.
Thank you for using my stuff and what a wonderful story and great idea for parents with small children to read them this book!
