repurposed and loved.jpg

When my daughter and husband tore down an old house to build a new one for the grand-son, they found an old wringer washing machine in a shed on the property. They immediately asked me if I would like it, since I am well known for loving old things.I finally completed the plans of planting in it, on my front porch.Don't laugh, it looks perfect. I live in the middle of the country back a long lane and it is gorgeous when you come up the lane.It worked out pretty well this year with just a few plants but next year.I have some new ideas for plantings.I edited the image with Glaze. Well there you go. Speaking as a gardener myself I know just how it is when you find the perfect plant container. Love how you put it on display here.
Well done!! I love old thing, too! I restore old doors, windows and other objects that I can use as decoration in the garden. I'll probably also finish a page showing how I used old iron cemetery fence parts to set up a barrier for the ever-hungry gray herons. Great layout to show us your treasure.
Creative use of the old washing machine to beautifully display your amazing gardening skills! Love your choice of background paper!
Love the repurposed and loved idea. Beautiful layout. Love the frame embellishments twine etc. Great transfers and textures work.
