My mojo still seems to be on vacation but I did manage to create a page.

The bottom layer is a pink, yellow and blue gradient. Above that is my beach photo with a white layer mask added. I then used a black to transparent gradient on the layer mask so that only a portion of the photo is included on the page. You don't really see the photo on this layer but without it, all of the edge details do not show. Above that is an artsy paper with a pink, yellow and blue border. I used Blend Mode of Pin Light here. Above that I repeated my beach photo and added a black layer mask. I then used a soft round brush and white paint to paint back in the portion of the photo I wanted to use. I set the blend mode here to Dissolve.
