Dads TDY was about to end. A request for his transportation back to the Zone of Interior (ZI) would be issued on the 10th of May. In March he had purchased an engagement ring. There were two more items he would purchase for his bride to be. Both were surprises. The first was a 93-piece set of Noritake China. The pattern 5475 is of pink roses. Dad chose this pattern because he knew mom liked pink roses. The second was a strand of the now-famous Mikimoto Pearls for her to wear on her wedding day.
