Karen Schulz has the most incredible project, My Story. It got me inspired to scan photos that my parents have of my brother and me as we grew up. This is a big undertaking since my mom was never big on photos or photo storage. I am sifting through boxes and albums, trying to date and identify anything I can. Some of it is guesswork, some is through new conversations with my parents and brother. I love it!
I recolored the flowers and heart to bring out the red in my mom's dress, as well as the stitching.
Journaling:
For a long time, my parents couldn’t find any baby pictures of me. As a child, I wondered if I was adopted. I didn't really look like them and to a kid,
couldn’t find proof. My parents never let on if it bothered them when I asked them that. At some point, my parents found these. That is me in either 1968 or 1969. Based on the clothing and my size my guess is the summer of 1969. I was premature and only 4 pounds when I was born and took a long time to catch up in size.
