I love the composition of your LO! A lot of new digiscrappers don't get the hang of drop shadows right away, but I'd say you've mastered them as if you've been scrapping for a long time now

Suezee - This is an awesome first page!!! Really, it's a lot better than I ever did at the beginning! I think I like this one better. I think the elements stand out better on this one against the dark paper. GREAT JOB!!!

This page is awesome!! I can't believe this is your first page. Like Meg said the composition is awesome. I think the only thing I would play with is maybe making the strip a patterned paper on this one. And that's only a maybe and something I would play with and then probably end up with a solid in the end. With the other page the background looks much more patterned so the solid balances it perfectly, so that is just something i would play with but not necessarily change. But that is also based on my scrapping style...it still is an awesome page either way. I love the sentiment of the wordart. I also love how you used the ribbon. I have a really hard time with curly ribbon. This is fantastic.

And great shadowing: to me that's still difficult.
If you would force me to change/try something on this page, i would probably play with the position of your photo/elements/strips-cluster: maybe a tiny bit higher on the page so your ribbon will not touch the bottom. PEANUTS!!

Lovely LO. I prefer that one, more soft, and more tender than the other.
