Journaling reads: As we approached the toe of the glacier up the outwash plain, the wind started to pick up ever so subtly until, when we reached the edge, it was like the ice was breathing--its called a catabatic wind and it comes as the ice chills the air and the air sinks. We were almost alone on the very edge, listening to the glacier groan and creak, as though it were alive. We both felt like Indiana Jones. --Harding Icefield, Alaska, 2015

I layered up the Artsy Papers on color burn mode and blended in my photo with inverted maskingthe glacier really IS the color of Windex. I stamped in the Alaska brushes using a color I picked from the background. The title and journaling came next, and I finished off with the buttons (duplicated, on hard light blending mode at reduced opacity), bird, and other embellishments.
Fantastic journaling and that must have been quite the adventure. Love your "greens" and brushes!

I think I would be freaked out by a groaning glacier :) Wonderful photo, you've captured that glacial blue! so much great texture on the page. love the map

Wonderful blending and beautiful page! What an experience! Hubby wants to go to Alaska. I'm for it but I don't want to drive. A cruise would be nice!
