Catches us every year:
It happens every year, sometimes earlier than others. This year was a little later than usual perhaps lulling us intoa false sense of security. Winter arrives quite abruptly in Colorado and has a habit each year of taking us by surprise. The windows are left open at night during the late Summer and early Fall and then we wake up one morning to completely freezing temperatures and know that Winter has arrived. Love these photos of Ella and Luke snuggled at the breakfast table eating their eggs and rice. The fire goes on immediately of course until were all toasty and warm again. Love these little yearly family traditions.
