What will happen can't be stopped...
this has become our family motto in the past,
15 months since you left home.
What will happen can't be stopped.
We have had to accept that we can
not change whatever, choices you
may make in your day to day life.
We can't control if you decide to come
for a visit, if you go to school,
if you take your meds, if you see the doctor,
if you do your homework.
Nope, we have absolutely
no control over what you may
or may not do. What we are
learning to do though, is
ACCEPT that it's your choice,
it's your life
that you will have
to face to mistakes of
your today's tomorrow.
We can continue to love you,
to welcome you home when you
decide to visit,
answer the text messages
when they come, these
are about the only things we can do.
What will happen can't be stopped.
