She saw the world as it used to be and in one moment of clarity and a sense of adventure, she changed her clothes, looked through the time portal, took one last glance at 2023, and never looked back.

Yeah really!! Well, in the story in my head she's already been back there. The ghosted image of her face in the portal shows a brief memory of her in that life. A whole story built up in my head as I made this page! LOL
