For the AnnaColorChallenge 05.26.2023 - 06.08.2023

I’ve always liked this photo of my grandchild. The relaxed position of youth fascinated me and I wanted to accent that. The colors for the challenge are perfect for a red head with a turquoise game pad.

Construction: I started by extracting the photo. I wanted a frame for his feet to be propped on, choosing the ArtPlay Palette Sayonara Deckled Paper Frame. It looked too flat so I duplicated the frame and transformed the perspective. I turned off the mask and shadow and placed ArtPlay Palette DeNovo Artsy Paper #5 behind the frame (color adj). The frame was too white, so I duplicated it and used blend mode Multiply at 25% opacity (the lower dup was at 100% opacity).
I then filled in around the subject frame with background (ArtPlay MiniPalette Vivify Solid Paper1 with a gradient fill blend mode Linear burn), Transfers (Artsy Transfers Vivify 1 & 2, Artsy Transfers Epiphany 5) and ArtPlay Palette Jouer Brushes.
Elements: Heart is from ArtPlay MiniPalette Vivify (perspective transform); BeadedThreadz No 3 #3; Lollipop is from ArtPlay Palette Jouer. The word transfer is from Play WordART Mix No 2 (perspective transformed). The Wood Word “Play” was only available as part of the Jouer Collection BONUS.
