This is a memory from 2021 when the schools were closed and we were helping with home schooling. Mornings were English and numbers and afternoon art and crafts. A lesson for me in not being too ambitious and taking into account the attention span of the lesson recipient. My idea for the heart shaped wreath didn't take into account that the six year old was not up for hours of cutting and tying ribbon to achieve that pinterest worthy wreath...
I started with the template and reduced slightly, turning off layers to start with. The artsy paper from AP Loved gave me the background. Next I added my photographs to the frames, I don't do anything clever to photographs, these ones I adjusted by using the foto filter feature in photoshop to get rid of any orange tones using the cooling filter; unsharp mask then use curves to further play with definition. I knew which photograph I wanted for the background so added and changed the layer to linear light, didn't bother with masking, just erased out what I didn't want. The rest is adding transfers and overlays, turning back on several of the layers from the template and adding elements from both artplays in the collection plus Magic sprinklez (can't get enough of these!), stitched hearts and wordart.
