Oscraps

The Bride
I have scrapped our wedding photos a number of times but still haven't decided whether to use one kit/style for the whole album. The creative me wants to play with different kits, but the visual me longs for a cohesive look... In other words, 17 years down the road I am still searching. And experimenting....

I made this page for June ColorPlay challenge 1. The colors of Fondness by et Designs match the photos taken at home so perfectly that I couldn't resist creating this layout. I used one of Anna's artsy templates from her Artsy Multipack 2 (template 10) as a starting point. I flipped it vertically, adjusted one of the photo spots and turned off some of the paint/stain layers. I then added some paper textures for interest and applied 3D effect to a couple of generic brush strokes that came with my Affinity Designer.

Wow! What a beautiful page! And what a beautiful bride you were. The colors in this kit fit the layout perfectly. And thank you for sharing your process...I have never flipped a template. But I will be doing that in the future!

Saw this on Insta - gorgeous page, yes you are a beautiful bride! Love how the arrangement of the elements triangulate and flow and complement the photo. Really perfect page!

WOW!! You looked amazing! I love all the flowers and the wonderful blend, works so well. Have you considered popping all of your layouts about your wedding into an online book creator. I did that recently with all my layouts that I have done over the last 3 years about our wedding (we have been married 13 years...) and they are ALL so different and it is just so fun. BUT like you I decided that the 'visual me' wanted more uniformity, so I broke it up with a solid paper page, with a photo not of us, but of one of our guests, so one uniform page, then random layout. Food for thought xx
