You really CAN do heritage with an art journal-y style kit. It just takes a little testing and tweaking!

Except for the background which consists of paper 19 blended over paper 9, this LO is very straightforward. Once the background satisfied me, I layered over the stamps, spatter, and scatter, then I added the photo and frame. So I don’t get a shadow on the photo, I almost always duplicate the frame and pull the copy back behind the photo, then I apply the shadow layer style. Once the photo was in place, I placed the multi photo kit frame behind the group, then added the flower cluster over the corner along with the title and journal bits.
