Following Karen's tutorial (How to Use the Dodge and Burn Tools, and Use Them Non-Destructively — http://www.oscraps.com/shop/digital-scr ... signs.html) was helpful in fixing some of the issues I have with taking photos of my black dog. I used this technique to lighten up some areas of her face as well as deepening shadows in her fur to give her the depth that she is in real life.
