Well I bought another purple Hydrangea, this one to go in the flower bed that doesn't exist yet at the little house
. They remind me of my mother. I attempted my very first still life ever. It isn't great. So I camouflaged it with artistry. I added the two china pieces my paternal grandmother painted, placed on an embroidered tablecloth my maternal grandmother made (which you can't see) and some of my mom's jewelry.
I used several of the techniques covered in the first 2 sessions of Elevate with Adj. Layers. So much fun, but I need more practice (and time). After looking one more time, I'm going back to add some splatters or sparklez, etc.
I started with Solid Paper 5 with a Hue/Sat adj (Lightness +7), I added my photo with inverted mask and brushed in the parts I wanted, adding a Hue/Sat adj. to remove the yellow tint in the photo. I added Tres Bon brush 1-7 with Color Fill and Brightness/Contrast adj clipped to it. I then added (below the other photo) the extracted blossom from a 2nd photo bottom left corner with a hue/sat adj., blend mode Soft Light, and placed Artsy Transfer 4 below that, rearranging some layers. Embellished with word art, stitchez, brush work and elements. Finished with two paper textures, both with Color Fill adj., and blend mode Darker Color.
