'Real'

Journaling: Real. Bringing the outdoors inside this year. We used to have a real tree which involved a day out selecting and chopping down the one of our choice. These were the days in Maryland prior to children and puppies when we seemed to have all the time in the world. I suggested it this year when the opportunity arose, but it was shot down. Just as well. we could have easily divorced over the fiasco off getting said tree into its stand. This year we have a Christmas cactus to suit my inability to water plants leaning and a fresh garland which smells delightful. Ella made some pom-poms, the new banisters are adorned and Mai is ever present this holiday. The stocking have gone back up, even though they clash with our new decor and we found some houses we had forgotten we even had. The halls are decked for Christmas 2016.
