In thinking back over my lifetime I cannot recall any Birthday that stands out above the rest as far as being special... Birthdays in my family have always been celebrated with a party, gifts and cake... As the family grew and Birthdays became clustered in the first 3 months of the year and September we took to celebrating Spring and Fall Birthdays as singular celebrations... which some years has left me being home alone doing nothing on the actual day... This year was different... Barry and Andrea, Julias in laws, were to be here visiting from Florida during the week before my Birthday... so our big Bash was planned for this time period ... Since I was going to be traveling during the week, I decided to make it a fun and leisurely trip by planning a brief stay with Melba... I arrived Wed late afternoon and we went to dinner at a great little Thai restaurant... the next day I met an Internet connection, Sarkis, who I had not yet met face to face for a delightful lunch. then stayed another night with Melba. Friday late morning I headed on to Folsom, traveling the back way which is such a peaceful trip through rolling hills covered in green grasses... Friday late afternoon Barry and Andrea arrived and the celebration began with Pizza, then the opening of gifts and Birthday cake...
On Saturday afternoon I had the opportunity to meet Oscraps
Designer Romy who I have had a guest CT spot with the past 2 months... We had a ball over lunch at BJ, spending an
unbelievable 4 hours getting to know each other !...
Kismet and Kashmir. were so happy to have me return home that evening... Teana is a great surrogate Mom, but the real mom is better!!!!
Then on Sunday March 22 the actual Day of my birthday I was treated to a gourmet dinner cooked by my long time friend Larry Myers... it was wonderful!
