The weather is changing everywhere! It is freezing here ATM (feels that way even if not accurately by temperature) but we have a Freeze Warning for tonight. I'd better bring my basil plant inside today. The tomatoes and pepper plants that I started too late in the spring are producing and ripening. Which cracks me up because they were from a "Survival Seed" tin that I got from the FP. I guess they really will germinate and grow no matter what conditions they are in. We gave up watering them in August, figuring that they were past any help. I pulled off 4 green peppers on Monday. I might add them to tonight's dinner. I am making grilled tofu and apple skewers, with red onion and red peppers. Might as well cut up the green peppers for the recipe.
How was your day yesterday? Mine was pretty uneventful. I paid bills, cleaned for my friend, and started the write-up for my aromatherapy portion of the retreat. And I scrapped the pictures of Lawnmower Man and Braxtron. It took me forever to figure out what and how I wanted to do any of it. My scrap mojo is down and out.
My parents are coming here today. My dad is officially passing his car over to us. Now that it is actually happening, I am so dang conflicted. Sure, I am relieved that we have another car, even more considering Tom's car is back in the shop on Monday. More than a little anxious about insuring a second car. And sad for my dad. He isn't giving up his license so he can still use my mom's car to get to the firehouse or the supermarket down the street. But sheesh... I thought Dads were supposed to be all-powerful and live forever.
Scott and Sam are on their way home from a camping trip this morning, so I invited them to come by too. I really hope they can make it b/c that will keep the mood lighter for me.
Sending everyone a big hug!
