Happy hump day! How are you all doing today?

I'm aggravated with myself - I slept funny and now I have a knot in my back. Boooooo. It's a good thing I can rest today.
*taps ear, listens to incoming transmission*
Oh. I guess not, I have to clean for my friend today. Oh well. It's not like I would actually rest if I weren't cleaning. :blushing1:

Yesterday I said that I had to catch up on laundry and emails and I did both of those. Well. I cleaned up the new emails from the weekend. I still have way too many from the beginning of time.
I spent so much time looking at the birds at the feeders. I'm sure a lot of them are here since my friends moved and his feeders are gone. Man, the birds just make me laugh. Such silly antics. There is one blue jay in the middle of molting and s/he looks like a wet dishrag. :rotfl:

Scott and Sam popped over for a few minutes with Logan. They had taken him for a little hike and then to the playground by my house so they were nearby. He is such a funny kid. Cracks me up!
I even had some time to start an AJ page for the Week One challenge.

Today I have to clean, then the rest of the day is mine. Leftovers for dinner so I don't have to cook. Yay!
I'll finish that LO and who knows what else?

Good thought request before I sign off-- Can you send love/prayers/whatever positive thoughts you have to Sam and her family today? Today is the fourth anniversary of her brother's death and I know it is going to be brutal for them. :brokenheart:
Thank you!

.the times we can all spend together are few and far between and have to be on purpose! That's why, even though she and her DH traveled back from WV yesterday, DD#3 wanted to come and spend some time with her sister. Makes this momma's heart happy!
I can imagine how happy that makes you!
The weather was absolutely gorgeous this weekend! We even took a bike ride with out pastor and wife on Sunday. Our last ride together was back in March before the weather started getting so outrageously hot!
If your weather is similar to here, it has to be wonderful riding weather.
Look at you and your girls!! Same exact smile too! 100% scrapable photo, hope you get one done with it soon :D

He has a big decision so I hope he finalizes the decision soon for everyone's worry level. All that work and you had time to read that is so wonderful for you.
That is my hope too.
I finished the book last night. Four days-- that has to be a record in the last year or so. Probably the last time I went to PA with my mom, which frees up my time to relax.
Was the grocery store your first trip since you got home, did you need to restock the fridge? $$$$ ~> :hiding1:

Hi there, been a while since I popped in.
I was stealthy this time-- I was away and you and your  didn't even notice!
:floorlaugh:
Lots of good blood test results coming your way~~~
Is Love is Blind a reality show? Like The Bachelor?
I love the idea of the Save Waste bags- the veggies would be perfect for soups and casseroles. How did your dinner turn out?
I have to admit, I hated eating lentils growing up and haven't had them since I was a kid. Is there a way you cook them so they taste good or do you think I should try again now that I am (supposedly) an adult?
Cold Island: A Novel (Detective Tommy Kelly Book 1). Oh man that one was good yet a bit hard to read because of subject matter. Such a page turner and had to finish it quickly to see how it ended. I love a good murder mystery, one that keeps me guessing.
The book sounds very good! I'll keep my eyes open for it if it comes onto one of my Free Ebook Lists or if I find it on Libby or Hoopla.
Not much happening here today. Its my one day this week to relax so I might AJ and maybe a challenge or two.
I loved your AJ week one page. It was just perfect! ♥

HAGD!! xoxoxo

Hubs slept through it all. So tired. Today is the first full Wednesday of cooking and everything too. Going to be a long day when I started out tired.
Send coffee!! Oooohhh it beeped. Its done brewing! Off to get coffeee
Have a wonderful day.

Good morning ladies. I'm heading out to another appt in Calgary in a bit. I'll pop into Value Village on the way back, I'm on the hunt for a few zip up bags to store some card game rules/cards/dice etc. I like to keep them all organized separately so I don't have to go digging or separating anything when it's time to play. Good thing amazon sells multi decks of cards at a decent price b/c we go through them like crazy. We order boxes at a time.

@faerywings The nacho sauce turned out great. I don't know how to describe it but the flavors all come together nicely and it was a good dip for my nachos, I will use it for a buddah bowl tonight and tomorrow will drizzle it over a spaghetti squash/veggie/tvp mix for dinner. The recipe didn't say but I soaked my cashews in hot water for 30 min to soften before blending. I'll add in a bit of hot sauce before I use it tonight. It was just a touch bland for me (but still good). I think the white miso paste made a big difference in flavor. here's the recipe.

@AK_Tracy Yep, its me too that sees and knows when something is wrong with the dogs and deals with it. Taz is elderly so his digestion is sensitive and we deal with issues at least 2-4 times a week now. 9/10 times it is me that notices and cleans it up...ugh.

I've got to go get dressed and get out with Remi for a few min before heading into town for my appt. HAGD everyone.

Prayers for comfort for Sam and the family.
Practically all of the birds here are molting...they do look like drowning rats and aliens!

I got a dozen photos of the grandkids first day of school this morning. The older one is starting middle school and she looks so grown up! Time just flies.

Community chorus started the fall season last night. Library book group starts the new year this coming Monday. (I've never figured out the difference between "next Monday" and "this Monday"). Trail work starting to ease up now that the summer rain has stopped encouraging weeds and grass to explode. Weather has been great. When I bought peaches at the orchard yesterday they told me this is the last week for them. I'll be eating apples next week.

I did manage to make 2 Project Life pages, and one week passed, so now I'm only 2 weeks behind. At ScrapGirls, where there was always an annual challenge, I was more motivated to keep up. Now I have to motivate myself... isn't that a sign of being a grown-up?

Southern Living magazine has this year's Idea House in Charlottesville, so I'm getting a couple friends together to go check out all the things that are too expensive or too upscale for me to have :floorlaugh: :D

Well. I cleaned up the new emails from the weekend. I still have way too many from the beginning of time.
Three months ago I just gave up. I deleted my whole Inbox. All 2000 of them. Not even archived, just flat out deleted. My world has not come to disaster. So far I have had to ask for one -- just one -- to be re-sent.

I can imagine how happy that makes you!

Now we need more time to ride, lol! Mark has been working 9 hours a day and is worn out when he gets home.
Yes, I'll definitely be scrapping that picture of my girls and me! Never enough time with them!

Well....the last 3 days have been unexpected.... When I went to eat the supper on Monday evening , I got slightly nauseous so only had a few bite but then had a piece of toast and went to sleep in the guest bedroom. Woke up @ 3:30AM yesterday morning.. got up and sat at the computer... reading new posts, etc. Started feeling "funny" so took my BP... 156/ 80... so took my BP meds. Back at the computer and within less than an hour was feeling worse. So I turned the porch light on and unlocked/opened the front door on my way to the kitchen to take BP again .... now 169/91... called paramedics then. Long story short - ended up in ER until afternoon. The dizziness, pressure on chest, High BP might have been heart related but blood work, chest scan ruled that out. The doctor said he had never seen bites like I had but gave me an anti-itch pill. BP went back down to normal range. But my Oxygen Sat levels dropped down below 80 when I would fall asleep. So I am to call my PCare Doc to have a sleep apnea test run. DD#3 picked me up around 1 PM and brought me home. I ended up napping off and on in the afternoon.

I did manage to get a Professional Bed Bug inspector (Truly Nolan) set up to come over this morning... hooray!!! The great news is NO BED BUGS at all!!! Yes, I had the vacuum stored outside inside a large garbage bag, I'm crazy but wanted his see anything that might have bugs in!!! He took photos of a few of my bites and is going to have the company bug specialist look at them... he may be able to give us a clue as to what may be causing them... He is coming back tomorrow as he found what it is... More details then.

But the crazy part is my BP today has been LO... around 80/55 to 90/60...without taking my BP meds!!! I guess it is time to set up a Doc appointment ASAP.

I am going to buy a new mattress as the one I have is over 10 years old. No guild to getting rid of the mattress now that I know it doesn't have bugs....

Been a crazy few days so hope to feel better so I can go shopping for my new mattress.

I hope you get everything resolved soon, Kay! Especially health-wise!

This day sure got away from me.
I got up at 5:45 and took some Tylenol and laid back down. I went hard and fast back to sleep. So hard that I didn't wake up until the Terminix guy made noise spraying stuff on the outside of the house at my bedroom window! Scared me until I realized who/what it was! After he left I went to Walmart to find some wet swiffer pads for wood floors. While there I picked up some packs of birthday cards for sending money to the grands. Looked for some plastic eyes to fix a stuffed animal of Abby's. No plastic eyes so I ran over to Hobby Lobby. I was a good girl and only bought the eyes! Ran my purchases home and got back in the car to pick Mark up for lunch. After I got back to the house I mopped all of my wood floors. Then I printed out the minutes and financial reports I needed for the business meeting at church tonight. The rest of the afternoon was spent working on a pre-release page for Erin. I showered before Mark came home, warmed up some KFC for our supper, listened to our devotional and Bible reading and left for church.
Good Night!
