CHEERY O
Hello, hello!

I made it through yesterday somehow, stress and exhaustion were kicking in hard but I survived. Let's see how I do today. I slept slightly better but have another big family issue I need to confront. So any sleep-benefit is a wash. Haha.

At least I started my morning with a video of rolling and falling pandas. I feel like my Bluesky feed knew how much I needed it.
Cait has my car again, so I'll be here, puttering about.

Wishing everyone a wonderful day!

Good Morning!
I don't think I even made it in here yesterday except to comment on a few of my challenge pages.
I was busy doing "stuff" and making the church bank deposit, went to lunch with Mark, and going through ~2,000 vacation pictures....fighting with dropbox and only able to upload about half of the photos/videos so my daughter could download what she wants.
Today I need to start on last week's laundry. I want to check out the pre-releases, too. Not sure I will get to it, but I also want to check out some more challenges this month.
Have a great day!
2000 photos! Hope that you were able to get them all uploaded and sorted for you and DD.

So... I am back to no lifting, etc... for the next several days. Looks like today will be a PJ day.
Take good care, hope you found the book holder too.

Good morning ladies. Finally feel like I'm on the mend. I'll take it easy today but should be back to normal tomorrow.
Same goes to you. Take care and don't push yourself!

David has recovered from Covid and I'm letting him share the living room and dining room with me again LOL. He still has some cough, which I'm sure will hang on a week or so, so he's more comfortable in the guest bedroom for now, he worries about waking me up. But we're getting back to normal.
Fantastic to hear this and it will be nice to have his company again.

Gosh I'm sounding grumpy. It must be time for wine!
Me tooooo! :wine3:

Yes! And got them sorted and am uploading today!

Good Morning,
Quick in and out. Getting ready to leave to go to lunch with Mark.
I got the pictures sorted out yesterday from vacation. Not sure how many of the almost 2000 pics are left. I'm uploading them for DD to grab.
Did get some pre-release pages done yesterday. Downloaded a new kit from Art Addicts that I want to work with for the vacay pictures.
Gotta run!
Have a great day!

UPDATE: Started with almost 1800 pics and now have just over 400.

Quick in and out this AM... Need to get my shower and dressed. DD#3 is picking up DD#1 from the airport this morning and bringing her to my house.

Take good care, hope you found the book holder too.
Yes, I found the book holder... in the pantry... of all places!!! :wow2: :floorlaugh::wow2:
Here is a photo of the book holder on the book on the throw pillow sitting on my lap - and I am in the recliner with my feet up.
As you can see it is 'hands free' and keeps the book open.... just lift it up to turn the page. :yesss:

BUT.... the shoulder was hurting still... and I had a hard time falling asleep last night even after taking a pain pill and rubbing it down with Aspercreme!! Still very sore today. <<< sigh >>> May start "walking the wall" with the left hand to see if that gentle exercise with that arm will help.

Time to close the house and get my shower. BBL

Good Morning
I'm working on my new timeline schedule and its weird. I have been keeping up here reading about everything but finding I dont always get to comment. Thinking after dinner might be my new time to visit here. I know I create my own timeline (not really I have a family) and can do whatever I want and I have loved having coffee and chatting with you all in the morning. But God's telling me I need to spend my morning with Him, and its been amazing lately. But I find I'm rushing to try and get here and be meaningful which isn't happening. Balance can be hard. My desires of the flesh vs spirit. So, while it might seem I am MIA at times, I am here and mentally talking to you all it just doesn't always get out in type. August tends to be crazy busy too with processing (canning) fish, prepping for moose hunts, school starting, and prepping for fall. Spent several hours yesterday defrosting and cleaning the freezer at church so its ready for my first big shopping trip of the fall for dinners which starts in two weeks. Have to make more dog food today. Its crazy how much they eat when you actually take the time to make the food vs buying it. I never knew it would be so much work but saving $100 a month, yeah I'll keep working at it. Off to start my day. Have a wonderful day!

Good morning ladies. We got a new health care plan and it'll save us quite a bit. We applied for the federal plan for seniors and then supplemented with an extended health plan for seniors. D was thrilled. Him and Jen spent hours this week calling everyone and comparing.

I'm feeling (mostly) better, back is almost back to what passes as normal for me and the headache is almost gone. I think the back pain raised my BP and that caused the headache. I checked it at the pharmacy yesterday and it is at 150/80 which is still high but I feel like it was even higher the 4 days prior. I'll keep an eye on it over the next few wks to see if it comes down a bit more.

Got the bracelet duo door prize completed for the upcoming market and will drop it off tomorrow morning before heading to a friend's home for an afternoon of jewelry design with her. We are trying to see each other as much as we can for the next few wks b/c they will be leaving for 5 months to Arizona with only a few week long visits back here a few times.

I'm off to Canasta this afternoon, I think my back will be ok, I'll make sure I sit back and not lean forward very much.

Jen just got home from her scan so I'd better go see how that went. BFN

Well @faerywings I cannot imagine what you have done with your putter around day...nothing like you thought is my guess.
Sounds like old age problems with your parents- driving? unsafe? if that's it let me tell you what we did with our Aunt Gin (92) who was becoming unsafe on the roads. After a few incidents we figured she had trouble seeing so we got in touch with CT motor vehicle dept and told them, they requested an eye test...she failed so took away her license...end of her unsafe driving. And no one is the bad guy!!!

@Terri M Gee If I knew you were so close we could have gotten together to do a wine tasting. The museum was great. I had to chuckle at your photo in the background..I took that same pic through the window it was such a pretty window and view of the garden was fun. Plimoth Plantation in Mass has the best in period time actors and actress...they were totally oblivious to current things and will say in their vintage accent they do not know what you are talking about. At the forge and house they referenced current things when we were talking to them. it was a wonderful place and I would love to go back. It was super hot but we walked most of it but finally took the ride back from the old church area. They are working on rebuilding parts so it's pretty noisy with the construction.
Glad your hubby is better, you need to stay healthy.

Got to go make dinner. Have a good evening every One

@AK_Tracy like you I read but don't always have time or service to answer. I talk but I don't think you are hearing me. Yikes just your regular dogs food, do you have sled dogs too? shoot a moose that should be easy they walk right by your house. that will give you lots of meat. Canning fish must be a process, what do you have to do for that I have only canned vegetables, fruit, relish and pickles.

Yesterday we went into Cherokee for some shopping and to have lunch. This morning I did some heavy duty cleaning and wiped the outside of the trailer to get some road grime off. We cleaned the inside of the truck to get it ready so my brother can drive us around...he will love driving a new truck, especially a diesel. Today is our last day in the mountains of NC tomorrow we are going to see my twin brother in TN. It will be a 4.5 hour drive towing in the mountains so fun being a passenger but so glad we have the diesel engine for the inclines. We are going to make dinner tomorrow for them at the campsite then Saturday go for hike to see waterfalls and dinner out. We will leave on Sunday to head south again. Hurricane season is upon us so best to get back to be able to prep.
I finished the basket the I was making for our son's MIL...she bought a kit but decided she would rather quilt so gave it to me. Ill give it to her when we are back in FL. I' also working on anther basket for the trailer to hold S&P with another spice we use alot....Oh did I tell you about my special board shelf my son made for me for the trailer. I't s a piece of old barn wood from the orginal barn on this CT property that he tore down to build the new bigger 2 story barn. It's really cool and I love it with my baskets and foo foo stuff.
DD sold the house when they were on vaca in Greece and closing is wednesday. Great news for them.

@vickyday I'm with you with thousands of pic's. I don't understand why you are having so much trouble. I transfer direct from digital camera card onto my computer and from my phone I use a cord and copy to a folder..easy peasy.
I hope it goes easier for you.

I laughed so hard. Yes, I talk and y'all dont hear me!! What is up with that??? Oh yeah, gotta type of you to hear me :floorlaugh: :floorlaugh:

Yes, we started making our four dogs food. The little shih-tzu is allergic to chicken and it was impossible to find food without chicken something. Plus the expense was getting crazy. I'm willing to buy rice (Costco business size) and it lasts me three months for less than the price I paid for one bag of dog food. We then mix it with veggies and fish. We will also use the beef scraps from the farmer when we bought our cow. Canning the fish helps with freezer space but not time saved. To can the fish (pressure cooker) it has to get to 12 lbs pressure for 90 minutes. Makes the whole house smell like fish. As for getting a moose........ praying we do this year. The legal limits and number of brow tines and size and blah blah blah make it almost impossible. Has to be a bull. Thankfully hubs knows the regs, and hopefully we get one this year. We can that too, same as fish, and it makes it tender and then enchiladas are amazing. The only down side to moose is its never tasted right when we make a hamburger, but otherwise its amazing in 99% of the dishes.

@AK_Tracy I fed my Shih Tzu Iams lamb and rice from puppy on I used to make his treats- ground cooked liver, egg, garlic (keep ticks away) and flour bake. He loved them and would sit at the oven waiting.. He developed liver failure so I had to give him a prescription dog food for the last year of his life...worth every penny and I wish I could be buying it again for him.
Canning fish sounds ok but you need a big exhaust fan or an outdoor kitchen for the fumes. Oh well it's what you have to do to eat so you do it. I get that. Canned moose sounds weird to me but it's probably an acquired taste.
Have a great evening.

Iams is so expensive up here. And those darn Shihtzu pups get in your heart that youre willing to do anything for them. :heartpumppink: Which is why I am willing to make the food. Yes, moose sounds odd but it is not bad or that different from deer. Its a lot bigger :floorlaugh: but similar. I think my favorite ever is spring caribou. Oh the steak off those is so tender and amazing. Moose canned sounds crazy but it basically just tenderizes it and makes for fast meals. Think shredded beef.

My problem with my photos, Debby, is because I usually am using the "bird" mode which captures a burst of 10 pics with one click and hold. I do this to capture motion so I can then pick out the best one. I have never had any success with the sports mode, so I stick to the bird mode. So, generally, I have 9 pics out of 10 to get rid of! I dwindled it down from almost 1800 pics to just over 400. It just takes time and patience!
