The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Hello and Happy Thursday! How are you all today?

In case you are wondering if I am feeling any better or any more stable, the answer is a big, fat NO.

I am *thisclose* to running and screaming through the house. Or crawling under the bed and sobbing. Perhaps both--but if I do that, I might 1. have the neighbors call the cops thinking I was being murdered or 2. get stuck under the bed and slowly starve to death. :p
Not many good options Haha!

Updates from yesterday are a mix of small accomplishments, "oh no, one more thing on my plate," and "WTH is going on?" moments.
Training went fine, we went over outdoor group games and we laughed a lot during that bit. The director wants some marketing media for the activities we are all doing, which had already been on my list, but now I'm feeling the pressure to get it done ASAP. I thought I would be on my way home at 12, but she needed to speak to me about the Fall HS session, as well as a small issue with a coworker. She wanted me to be aware and asked if I would be willing to step in if anything came up. I didn't get home until close to 2 and I still had a ton of housework and wedding card making and talking to my BFF and also to my parents and -- just argh!
By the time I got out of the shower, I had to start dinner and had thought I was just going to boil some pasta. Caitlyn reminded me that I was going to make tofu/veggie kabobs and if I waited on that, all of my fresh veggies wouldn't be fresh anymore. How hard could it be to make tofu skewers? Two freakin' hours later, we are finally sitting down for dinner. TWO hours. :thud:

I am so fried.

At least the wedding will be nice! I am so excited that we get to see Jen and Jake get married. Jen is actually Scott's first serious GF, they dated their freshman year of high school. She is such a sweetheart. When I was making their card, I couldn't decide if I wanted to use a romantic photo of them dancing at Cait's wedding or if I wanted to use one of the ones from our Murder Mystery Parties. I went with the romantic photo.

I have a very busy morning. I have to catch up on Cheery O work, see if I can get any of the photos to send along to Anne for my program, pay a few bills while trying to *not* freak out over my ever-worsening financial situation, and then get ready for the wedding. If nothing else, I have to do something with my nails, which are super ratty and probably still have green paint on them from making my egg carton frogs yesterday. LOL!
Also sending out gratitude that my field trip on Monday got canceled. I miss the kids and the plans are all finished, but if I don't get some downtime, I am going to LOOOOSE it.

Thank you all for listening to more vent. Ahhhh-gain.

Good morning, doing a quick read-through and sending thoughts and hugs to you, Chris.
Hoping your day and you feel better soon. Hang in... :heartpumppink: :beatingheart: :heartpumppink: :hug4:

I pray your day gets brighter and better!
Thank you, thank you!! I appreciate the hugs and prayers and good thoughts!

Yes. Two weeks is a long time to watch someone disappear. I almost think it would be better for them to go suddenly.
ITA and the quick and dirty update on BFF's mom is that she is starting to drink the thickened liquid. Still no speech, no actual recovery, but this leaves the question of whether it will just take things longer. And what is her quality of life? It's awful.
I hope your headache eased quickly and you got lots done with the scrapbook organizing.

DD#1 and DD#3 worked like mad at grandson's house. The roofers got the new roof on in one day (they had a big crew) so it was done before the rain hit in late afternoon. The girls came dragging in around 6PM and were happy that I had a taco dinner waiting for them. DD#3 was worn out so she spent the night here. Today is the big push to get the stuff moved from the garage back into the house now that the painting, and other repairs are finally finished.
Wow. So much work, no wonder DD#3 stayed. I know that made your mama's heart happy to care for them both. Lots of good thoughts to you all.
I use to watch Beaches all the time. Was a great crying movie and I wasn't asked why you crying.
Beaches.... :bawling: That movie is one of BFF and mine and we watched it together and sobbed over best friendships so many times. We danced with each other at both our weddings to Wind Beneath My Wings. How many brides/maid of honors slow dance with each other at weddings? We did. ♥
(TOO MANY EMOTIONS!!)
*gulp*
I think if I started to cry in earnest, I won't be able to stop and then my face will be swollen and splotchy for the wedding today. At least no one would notice the paint under my fingernails HA!!
Maybe I can do that tomorrow instead. :D
They just come back up like a bad burp. :hug3:
:floorlaugh:
HAHAHAHAHAHHAA!!!! That cracked me up like you have no idea!!!
:lol23:
TY for lightening things up inside my heart.

@BoatLady we missed you too!
Monday we left our son's house in Ct with their son to come N to a crazy kid campground. We are by the river so it has been great cool and pretty. We brought his mountain bike so he has been riding around and met some other riders . We went to Fort Ticonderoga a revolutionary war fort on Lake Champlain. We were here with our kids about 40 years ago ...wow huge changes so much more educational. Plus we came through here is 2013 in our boat when we cruised to Canada. We had campfires every night and made smores and grilled food. He pulled a tooth out but we didn't put the $100 under his pillow like his dad does...it as a small tooth so $25. We have played cards. garbage, slap jack, and of cours war. today we went fishing on Paradox lake the super nice lady went to her house and brought him a special worm to use ....bam he cought a 14' large mouth bass. We went to lucnh and came back to fish so didnt' go well so got bored. back at trailer he helped me with laundry then to dogs for a quick dinner. Tomorrow off to our son's Mc Cabin for a weeks they are coming up tomorrow night so a nice long weekend with them.
Can you please adopt me for a little while so I can play and visit and camp with you? What a blast!
And seriously, can I pull out a tooth and have the tooth fairy come? :giggle4:
Enjoy the time at the McCabin!

Sending out lots of love to everyone who reads this today!

@faerywings sounds like things are not any better for you...I wish it was better. Sounds like you really need that wedding to cheer you up. They are always such happy events with so much to look forward to .
I wish you could join us for the relaxation and exploration of our travels. I'm pretty sure you would love the outdoor life.
Big hugs to you

I had that stupid headache all day yesterday. It only started easing up about the time for us to leave for church. Thank You Lord for that! It's still there today but not like yesterday at least!

Good morning,
Headache lasted all day yesterday. Didn't ease up until church time. It's still there but not like yesterday, thank the Lord! Plus I ended up having IBS issues too. It was not a good day for me.

Mark is off with holiday pay today since they are not working Fridays. Except he has been for about a month with extra work coming in which sure has helped our finances, especially with all the broken stuff we've been dealing with lately! The cars being the biggest thing.

We ate fast food after church last night and I'm paying for it today! Why I do that to myself when I know better is beyond me! It sure was good at the time!

I still haven't made it to Costco and will probably just wait till next week now. Nothing on the list is urgent anyway.

Have a good day!

A few minute break while grandson walks up to the campstore to get a snack. We leave in a few minutes but will be without cell or internet at their cabin.thank goodness they are having internet installed on the 9th...I will be out of touch till then
Over and out!!! LOL

Have fun ladies

Good Morning O Family!!
Today will be a bit like yesterday and I love it. Sunshine, almost 70° again and nothing on the schedule but a video chat with surgeon. Crazy to think I'm six week out from the second surgery. Time crawled for the first four weeks but now its flying. No big plans for tomorrow either. Just going to enjoy the day and stay home.

@faerywings I hope you have a wonderful relaxed time at the wedding. You need the fun moment. Glad you will get Monday off too. That's a good day to watch a sappy movie. I'm glad my comment made you laugh too which was the intent. Dont stuff emotions. They always come back.

@vickyday Hope today is better and the headache leaves for good. Nothing worse then trying to function while your head pounds.

@BoatLady Debby we will miss you while youre signal-less. Just throw up the bat signal when you can and let us know you had a blast going old school. I love the idea of a couple days with no phone or way to be contacted.

@MariJ Have a great time in the shade poolside!! Sounds like a great place to be and relax. Well maybe, if its not too peopley :giggle4:

Have a wonderful day Ladies!!

Wow... long day yesterday. The DDs were over at grandson's house working until 1AM this morning!!! I stayed up waiting for them to get back here. DD#3 was going to drive home (20 miles away) then but it was pouring rain, thunder and lightening and streets flooding. And car accidents blocking 2 major streets. Glad she was smart enough to stay here. Had thunder/lightening most of the night and rained until around 6AM... I had put out the trash and recycle bins last evening... and the rain water runoff was covering most of the street and moved the bins around and partially away from the curb. I had just gone out to straighten them out (7 AM) when the recycle truck came down the street. It is muggy and more rain is expected off and on today. I am sure I will need a nap later on today. The DD's have a few more chores to finish up at grandson's house before noon today. Glad to see that most have been finished. DD#1 will be staying here until some time next week.

I've been working Tuesday, Wednesday, today & will work tomorrow. Really intense after not working for so long. But: I love it!

Just had to pop in hete and share this photo of a children's book that was returned to the library today.

The title translates to "We gotta have ketchup!". Great that they are teaching the children the truth! :giggle4:

Awesome book!!!!!

@faerywings Sending big love and hugs your way! Praying you get the rest you need on Monday!
@BoatLady I know you won't see this but safe travels while you're out of internet range! Sounds like your summer is flying by too!
@tanteva Such a cute book!!
@AK_Tracy so glad you're getting some downtime too!

We're laying low today and tomorrow. Mark is working on reorganizing the (his) garage, (right? so much for laying low?) and I weeded half the bed in front of the house this morning. The dogs do not like the fireworks and they're going off around already, so we're happy to be staying home. Definitely homebodies. We do have to go to a work party for Mark's work tomorrow. That will be later in the day, and hopefully low key also. Overall it's pretty quiet.

Staying home is low-key so as long as its the garage he's still home so not doing anything and its okay. I take it easy like that all the time. :giggle4: But I didn't leave home so its low key.

@MariJ Have a great tim e in the shade poolside!! Sounds like a great place to be and relax. Well maybe, if its not too peopley :giggle4:
Haha, thank you! For sure it is a place to relax, sorta - but for sure it is VERY peopley and. very "Kidsy". I like it all, it's a great little community but sometimes when I just want to sit, read and not be social I wish for the days when I didn't know anyone. :couchhide::wardrobehide: :floorlaugh:

You might freeze, but come see me. You can sit outside, in the sun and read without anyone bugging you but mosquitos.
