Hello and Happy Thursday! How are you all today?
In case you are wondering if I am feeling any better or any more stable, the answer is a big, fat NO.
I am *thisclose* to running and screaming through the house. Or crawling under the bed and sobbing. Perhaps both--but if I do that, I might 1. have the neighbors call the cops thinking I was being murdered or 2. get stuck under the bed and slowly starve to death.
Not many good options Haha!
Updates from yesterday are a mix of small accomplishments, "oh no, one more thing on my plate," and "WTH is going on?" moments.
Training went fine, we went over outdoor group games and we laughed a lot during that bit. The director wants some marketing media for the activities we are all doing, which had already been on my list, but now I'm feeling the pressure to get it done ASAP. I thought I would be on my way home at 12, but she needed to speak to me about the Fall HS session, as well as a small issue with a coworker. She wanted me to be aware and asked if I would be willing to step in if anything came up. I didn't get home until close to 2 and I still had a ton of housework and wedding card making and talking to my BFF and also to my parents and -- just argh!
By the time I got out of the shower, I had to start dinner and had thought I was just going to boil some pasta. Caitlyn reminded me that I was going to make tofu/veggie kabobs and if I waited on that, all of my fresh veggies wouldn't be fresh anymore. How hard could it be to make tofu skewers? Two freakin' hours later, we are finally sitting down for dinner. TWO hours.
I am so fried.
At least the wedding will be nice! I am so excited that we get to see Jen and Jake get married. Jen is actually Scott's first serious GF, they dated their freshman year of high school. She is such a sweetheart. When I was making their card, I couldn't decide if I wanted to use a romantic photo of them dancing at Cait's wedding or if I wanted to use one of the ones from our Murder Mystery Parties. I went with the romantic photo.
I have a very busy morning. I have to catch up on Cheery O work, see if I can get any of the photos to send along to Anne for my program, pay a few bills while trying to *not* freak out over my ever-worsening financial situation, and then get ready for the wedding. If nothing else, I have to do something with my nails, which are super ratty and probably still have green paint on them from making my egg carton frogs yesterday. LOL!
Also sending out gratitude that my field trip on Monday got canceled. I miss the kids and the plans are all finished, but if I don't get some downtime, I am going to LOOOOSE it.
Thank you all for listening to more vent. Ahhhh-gain.
