The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Hello hello, O-Zies!
How are you all doing today? I hope that you are having gorgeous weather like we are. It was amazing yesterday! We had all of the windows open and I was loving it!
I really wanted to be outside and I cleaned the dead leaves off a few of the planter buckets on the patio. Threw the leaves in the larger bucket I drag to the compost pile. But I didn't do that part. That was the Smart Me. The Not-So-Smart me didn't put on any tick spray and guess what was crawling on me after I was back inside? I was sitting at my desk, typing on the computer. It's a really good thing I have to look at my hands when I type, because that is when I saw the *^$%$%# tick.
I was itchy the rest of the day, which is hysterical because ticks don't make you itch. But the idea of them... *shudders*

New bird sighting: the catbirds are back! And I saw the red-belly this morning for a split second before he flew off. The big projects for today are to take down the feeders, clean and refill them. No signs yet of hummingbirds but the migration tracker says they are in the area. Must. Be. Patient. (as if! LOL)
I also have to treat my gear with Permethrin before work gets busy starting tomorrow.

What good stuff are you up to today?

Sending hugs all around~~~

No special celebration of Earth Day here. I try to be mindful of the earth in everything I do. I never throw my trash down, for sure! Unlike most ingrates! We are always having to pick up trash out of the yard where someone has thrown it out their car window!
That makes me so aggravated, too. And the little alcohol bottles are the worst. *grumbles*
Did you sleep any later this morning? I hope so, and I hope that your back is feeling better. And your head and stomach are in awesome shape. Might as well hope for a good-to-go trifecta :)

@BrightEyes Happy thoughts to you on what would have been 70 years. I saw your LO on FB, it was beautiful.
I was going to download another CP pre-release but forced myself to clean up my files and folders before I did. And I am still working on that. But oh my, the kits and colors are simply amazing, aren't they? I want them all. Every one of them LOL
Good to hear that DD#3 and family are on the mend.

inally my DH is going to do an edging where the lawn ends and the gravel starts, I have been pestering him about it for around 6 years now :rollingpin1:he finally has time to do it now!
:floorlaugh: That's right, put him to work!
Hope that you aren't too achy today. *fingers crossed that everything goes well with the deck reno*

You got me addicted to this AJ stuff and man oh man its addicting.
Who us? :haloslip:
That bites about the messed up filling.

(get it?)

(See-- I told you all that I am not funny. )

@BoatLady I love the story of the bird sliding down the leaves!! Don't you wish your eyes were cameras? That would have been an amazing photo!

@MariJ Oh no, that is awful about getting injured in AU!

Got to fly, J is dancing and jumping at me :)

xo

Oh yes and it was no fun. Luckily I was with good friends who helped. I did not want to waste time going to a hospital (not a wise decision in retrospect) so we wrapped it and minimized walking. I hobbled along ok until flying home our plane was turned back to Sydney an hour into the flight because there was a smell they "didn't like". It turned out fine but after a lot of back and forth and indecision our flight was cancelled and we were bussed back to Sydney overnight. But, as soon as I got off that plane I knew my foot and my perserverence was done and from there on in I asked for wheelchair assistance. After ALL that treking around (probably partly on adrenalin) I just couldn't do it anymore. So I had royalty treatment the next day for two flights and the rest of the way home... It was quite the adventure in more ways then one. :beatingheart:

Good Morning,
Quick in and out as I head to Ilene's. I will be stopping for some hair product from the girl who cut my hair before we head to lunch. I'm not planning on staying very long with Ilene today because I have some other things I need to get done here at the house. One of them being some CT stuff. I just downloaded Anja's CP and have ideas flowing LOL! So I hope they don't disappear before I get a chance to put them into action! HA! What's the chance??
HAGD!
I was itchy the rest of the day, which is hysterical because ticks don't make you itch. But the idea of them... *shudders*
Does me the same way! Bugs don't scare me, but if they get on me, the itching begins, LOL!

I actually took mine down yesterday along with the bird bath. I almost put my hummingbird feeder up, but didn't, but I might do that later today since if they are in your area they probably are in mine, too!

I woke up about 5:45, took some Tylenol and potted and went back to bed. Finally got up around 8:45! Thanks for the good wishes! I don't think my headaches are going away anytime soon. Tis the season, I believe! The stomach isn't too bad. Just have to watch how much I put on it!

You crack me up!!! You are funny!!!!

Today is final dinner at church for the school year! So excited cause its pizza so sad cause were done for the summer. Childhood dreams do happen in weird ways. I always wanted to be a chef and own a restaurant. Now I get to be in charge and cook once a week for 150 people. Better then a dream cause I dont have the maintenance or payroll to worry about!!! My sidekick and I will be making 18 pizza crusts that are 18x24". We will go through 50 lbs of flour, 20 lbs of mozzarella cheese, 10 pounds pepperoni and a few more things.

Off and running!

Can't believe that I went to sleep at 9:30PM and slept in until 8:45AM!!! Guess the allergies wiped me out yesterday. I managed to get over to the credit union and paid my bill.... then over to get my hair cut... finally!!! It was down to my shoulders and really looking scraggly. Glad to have it back to my pixie cut again. Made a quick stop at the library to return one book and came home with 6 to read. 3 of them are a series so glad to get them all at once.

Decided it was time to get rid of the VHS tapes since the players I have had quit working. The recycle won't take them here so they will go into the trash bin. Can't do them all in 1 week as they weight a lot and would make the bin too heavy for me to move. I carted out 1 shelf-load yesterday and will do 1 more today. The cabinet in the family room has 4 shelves full... then I have all the ones in the master bedroom TV unit. Around 300 tapes!!! Most of them are ones we recorded from TV shows many years ago. There are a few that are professionally done so may donate them to a thrift store. I did a trail run on using the family room cabinet for DVDs and looks like that might work... good thing as I am running out of room in the office bookcase!! :lol23: :rotfl::floorlaugh: Getting rid of them will be my "Spring Cleaning" for this year. :giggle4::claphands::claphands2: Oh, wait.... I forgot that I need to go through my short sleeve Tees and get rid of the shorter ones. Well, that is a chore for another day!!!

DD#3 - Leslie - called last evening and we had a long talk. She is coping and has 2 very good friends that are helping her (one is a widow and understands the ups and downs... and what needs to be done ASAP and what can wait). Leslie is back at work (she works from home) and that helps fill the days. She asked if I had a wedding photo of Max by himself - I did a quick check and I do have one... so need to get it sent to her today. It is another photo I took of him that day.

Looks like spring/summer is back again... it got into the low 80's yesterday and will be the same through this week and the weekend. But the winds will be back early next week. Will give a few more days of warmer nighttime temps before I take the down comforter off.

BBL - have a call coming in.
