Happy Earth Day!! I started a thread this morning about it and hope to read some of the things everyone does to celebrate.
(Go check out the thread if you want to see a LO done in 2011 and see how much my style has changed LOL!)
Did everyone make it through their Monday OK?
I did and I got a lot done. My topic for the next field trip was vernal pools but it still hasn't rained much, so I am postponing that for now. I did a little research and Jehovah's Witnesses consider themselves stewards of the Earth so as long as I speak in broad terms, Sustainability and Biodiversity will be an appropriate lesson. I wasn't sure how they feel about Earth Day as a holiday/celebration, but I should be fine the way I wrote it. I think I have enough activities and games to keep them happy for 4 hours. It made sense to do it this way since I am working Sun-Mon-Tues and I can use the bones of the plan for each day.
I patted myself on the back for turning down a job invite for Thurs. It would have been easy, a 90-minute Brownie troop program, but it involved a short hike and it wasn't smart to risk it. Yes, I surprised myself when I said No.
I also scrapped. Three pages!! Two were pre-releases and one I'll get into the Gallery this morning. Yay me!
Plans for today-- I have to pick up groceries and prescriptions this morning, and then I think the day is pretty free. I also have to move my Week 4 AJ challenge. I'd better do that before Tracy wakes up and
me.
Hugs to you all!
