I'm confused did I miss something ????...Tuesday was 28---- Wednesday is 29
You didn't miss anything other than possibly my standing-order disclaimer that I am day/date challenged. :oops2:
Never, ever use my dates for reference until you have double-checked my work. :lol23:

I wake up several times a night, needing to remind myself what day it will be and what plans I have. And yet...........
I still can't get it right.

Happy Wednesday that feels like Thursday to me but it is Wednesday and it *is* the 29th. For real and I pinky-promise.

How was everyone's Tuesday? Mine was confusing and chaotic but I had a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful time at Scott and Sam's. I spoke to him before we left here and asked if we could bring bagels, which we did. And that was really neat - kinda like we are taking that torch from my parents who bring us bagels every time they come here.
We had a fantastic time catching up and then we spent time checking out their birds. They have 4 different types of birdfeeders and sooo many birds came by. Scott really had me LMBO because he notoriously hated birds and now he is obsessed. We saw -- and I was able to identify!!!-- juncos, black-capped chickadees, cardinals, downy woodpeckers, wren (I think Carolina, but not 100%), and his favorite - tufted titmouse. He and Sam showed me some of the photos of the birds, squirrels, and a deer that got captured on the feeder-camera. He called me last night to tell me that a local-ish store had the same feeder in stock. It's a store that buys Amazon returns and then resells them. Friday is the "expensive resell day" and everything is $10. So if I want it, I need to get my butt down there as soon as they open and hope for the best. I am working that afternoon but I should have time to get there and back.

I still didn't get any time to scrap, instead I worked a little more on cleaning up my ACDSee DB and PS settings. I see some improvement in speed but not a lot. I am out of tricks up my sleeve aside for one more idea if it really gets to a PITB. If I go that route, I might risk crashing the software and then need to go through more steps to reinstall it. I don't want to do that. :/

I am cleaning for my friend this afternoon and this morning I have to work on prep for the Pirate Murder party I'm hosting next week. Would you believe that I can't find any piratey decorations in my house? I might have some in the attic but it's been too cold to go up here. I think I have to suck it up and head up this morning. I still have a few Christmas boxes that haven't been put away - time to do that too.

If any of you can send some good/calming thoughts to Caitlyn and her coworkers, I'd appreciate it. Yesterday was a nightmare with the Financial Aid office and some of the different depts in her school. The funding chaos-- while settled for a week- had the students and staff in a panic. No one knew what was happening, some didn't know if they would have a job or if they had financial aid for the next semester. Scary stuff. Hopefully, today will be a day to regroup but it was very rough yesterday.
Some nice calm vibes would be helpful! TY!

Have a fantastic day, my friends!

@vickyday Sorry that you didn't sleep well l after your busy day, was it any better last night?
If they had to mash a man's manly parts, they would understand! And the process for mammos would probably change, too! ;)
The. TRUTH.

@BrightEyes hope that you had a successful and easy time with your errands.
NJ has had a bag ban (paper and plastic at grocery stores, plastic I think is everywhere) for a few years now, and what a difference it made. I hardly ever see plastic bags in the trees at this point. The unintended consequence is that everyone now has too many reusable bags. hehe. They are supposedly recyclable with bottles and cans (#5) so I use mine til they fall apart and then throw them in my recycle bin. I also used them to wrap ornaments instead of newspapers this year.
(why am I rambling about this??? Why??? No idea!)

@bcgal00 I love that you are all coordinated and accessorized. I'm at the point where if I match my socks, I am good to go heheh!
I bet Remi had a great time at the dog park!

We have been bringing in the hummingbird feeder after dinner every night and DH puts it out in the morning before he heads to work. It's nice and warm for the little birds! What will they do when he retires?? They will be waiting for him to get out of bed and do his job :giggle4: , but he still might be getting up at 5:30 am for awhile until his body clock adjusts to not working.
That is so sweet! And my bet is that it is going to take him a *very* long time to adjust to non-work hours LOL
Are you hiking today? Have fun!

Well, you have a close, wonderful relationship with your kids. That's an awesome reward. I had to wait for grands for that. And who knows, maybe they'll change their minds in the future. :heartpumppink:
I do and it is. Gary and I said as we drove home from Scott's how happy and lucky we are to have great relationships with the kids and their SOs.
Cait is a firm Not a snowball's chance in hell for having kids. I thought Scott was a little squishy from the way he talks about Logan and Fia. Until he told me that being with them only reinforces his decision for no kids. He is happy to be the fun uncle but a dad, Nope!
HEHE I almost mentioned the other day when it was 38 that the windows were open and the fresh air amazing. I didn't want to scare you or make you think I was crazy. Or confirm what you already knew :floorlaugh:
Confirm. Not that it was necessary for another data point but there ya go! :rotfl:
Yes, that is my fear. That it will come in February. I will be gone most of February and I worry that my poor family will have to shovel out while I am gone. They could plow but the truck is being goofy this year and I worry it wont start for them. Worse I think would be if it all hit in March, which we've had some doozy years where March gets 2-3'.
*gulps* I am not sure what to wish for, snow or no snow?
Since we are getting close to Feb, are you feeling ready for the surgery?

@vickyday Glad you figured out the phone issue for Ilene

That's how I feel about flowers and winter. I should say, flowers and snow. I know some places dont get snow and they have flowers but ugh flowers dont belong with snow. Just ask @MariJ I've been saying this for the whole two years she's known me :giggle4: Its actually stopped me buying kits before if the flowers outweigh the snow aspect.
Oh, that is funny!
You must take pictures of the macrame hangers you made and all of your plants and pots. I need to see some signs of spring.
Please keep me posted on the monarch babies too.
Hubby talked to a guy yesterday who said there is no date set for putting our new electric cable in...are you kidding me? since November 13 so that cable is still there across my patio.. Call before you dig....They have marked our yard for the underground utilities and irrigation we have 67 flags and our neighbors have a bunch too...so we are ready come put the cable in. I get nervous everytime I go out there, I'm afraid to trip again.
:rollingpin1:

I don't blame you for being cautious out there, be safe!

the computer gremlins struck me! It started last night, and I thought it was my laptop. My big monitor that I work from has apparently died a premature death. Thankfully it was the hundred dollar plus and NOT my very expensive laptop.

Here's me - after working on a huge screen, now trying to see on my laptop.
Oh nooooooooooooo, darn gremlins! They're not from me, mine are still inside my computer running amok.
LOL-ing at your image of peering at the screen, that is so me.

my two cents on flowers: I am totally opposed to cut flowers/bouquets and do not understand why you would ever use them at funerals or send them in sympathy. They are dead. Give something living the person can plant and not thrown out when they are even dead-er.
:soapbox:
I love flowers outside and all of the animals that need them.

It was a long weekend here, so we went camping with some friends. Three blissful days off-grid! Even the teenagers had fun disconnecting from devices and just playing old school games and talking. Came home late Monday aftenoon and walked straight into a heatwave.
The weekend sounds wonderful!! Sorry for the heatwave even if I can't help but feel a little jealous. ;)

I am with Cheryl, I use two monitors and I don't know how I would survive with just one.

Kay-- yay for the clean car and even yay-er for the Vit E cream!
Yes, yes YES! Debby! I need a bit of diversity, all flowers all the time make NO sense to me, for sure we've discussed that!
:rotfl:

PS: So relieved that I am not the only one with strong opinions about everything :giggle4:

HUGS!!!

LOL I thought it might have been some time travel or maybe alien:spinningchair: take over. I struggle with days and dates ever since retirement 10 years ago. It's fine now we all know its Wednesday January 29, right??? :clubparty:

@taxed4ever - I never though of bringing the hummingbird feeders in at night but not sure it's necessary here in Florida.

@Cherylndesigns You might want to get a wireless keyboard to make it more convenient. This pic of my set up shows big screen in front of me with keyboard and laptop to the side. it uses a usb port so you would need an extra one. I do dread when we travel only using the laptop...I get spoiled. Not the best pic.

Well, maybe the "ramble" is because it gave me a good idea! I never thought to use those bags to wrap ornaments. Me too have too many!

Well... no snow yet... May get a few flurries today/tonight but forecasts keep changing.

I am :rotfl: as I woke up thinking today was Thursday... but was confused as the Wednesday pills were still in the weekly pill box. I use the date on the computer along with my calendar to help keep me on track. Counting in my head... Monday - Commissary; Tuesday - car wash at Dealership... that makes today Wednesday...(not Thursday)!!! :floorlaugh:

Both Albuquerque and then Rio Rancho had plastic bag bans but that didn't last long (maybe 1-2 years) and now the plastic bags are back in the stores again. I use my own bags at most places. The ones I have have are heavy duty fabric or canvas so they are still in good shape even after using them for 5+ years. I do recycle any plastic bags - but have to take them to the stores that take them as the trash/recycle pickup does not accept them. :angry4: I am on the lookout for more canvas bags as I need 3 or 4 more when I do the commissary run.

I tried the Vit E Cream.... :wow::pleasantry::claphands::dancing6::dancingbfly: So smooth and makes the face feel so soft!!! I may pick up another 2pack as they are small.

@Cherylndesigns Sorry your monitor quit but so glad you were able to get a replacement right away. I have a large monitor on my desk with my tower that DD#1 brought for my birthday a few years ago. Sure saves me eye strain. So happy to hear you are starting to feel better...

@BoatLady My monitor is about the same size as yours. I also have a wireless keyboard/,mouse with my tower. I have a few laptops but they are older ones with limited storage so don't use them. No, I don't use Cloud storage so need the tower and ExHD for storage.

Need more :coffeedrinker:and have some scrapping I need to work on. HAGD

Morning ladies... I am home and keeping warm and cozy in the house today! No hike for me, its too cold and too far away. I did however get in a 5K walk with SIL Linda yesterday and it was really nice to connect with her again! We went out for lunch after our walk and had a great time chatting and catching up. Just as we were about to leave, FIL and MIL showed up at the restaurant and sat in the booth right beside us LOL. They were shocked when they looked over and saw the two of us :giggle4: . It was nice that they were out together for some lunch before heading to the grocery store. Today I plan on doing some baking and working on a layout for pre-release.

Hope you find your pirate booty for your party! I used to have a lot of pirate things when Isaac and Sadie were younger, not sure if it is all still in the crawlspace or not? I am not going down there to see though LOL. Sending lots of calm/zen thoughts to Caitlyn and her co-workers! Hoping for a much better day for them all today!
LOL I thought it might have been some time travel or maybe alien:spinningchair: take over. I struggle with days and dates ever since retirement 10
Yup, I am the same... I need to check the date on the computer and my phone to know exactly what day it is! I usually hike on Wednesdays, but not today and I know I will be totally confused about what day it is tomorrow :giggle4: I use two monitors also and love them!! I could never go back to using just one again and love my wireless mouse and keyboard. I also have a wacomb tablet for scrapping but ever since I got my new iMac I can't get it to work properly :tongue3:. Guess I should spend some time with it and perhaps download a new driver for it??

It is a great idea to use those bags for wrapping! We have had a ban on plastic bags for a few year now and it really has made a big difference in a lot of ways!

Ohhh what is the name of your Vit E Cream?? I will have to check it out!

Well my coffee cup is empty and its chilly here where my computer is so I need to warm up with another cup, have a great Wednesday everyone! :waving3:

Good Morning!!!!

Well, temps are more normal but the drop from 39*F down to 7*F is a bit drastic and man oh man it feels SO cold now.

Since we are getting close to Feb, are you feeling ready for the surgery?
I'm ready. Well, as ready as I can be with ignoring it! :giggle4: Hubs and I have a quick getaway for fun planned first so that's where my mind is right now. I got an email from the doc office though asking where to send my meds. *gasp* what? Surgery is in 28 days!!!!! I'm excited to get the ball rolling but also a bit overwhelmed that its less then a month now. I started the process back in April/May so for it to finally be close is crazy. I also signed more appeals paperwork for the one surgery they denied so I'm hoping that gets approved after all. I cant wait to move with ease and less pain.

Today is Wednesday. I am ready. I am ready. Yeah, I am ready :floorlaugh: Chiropractor adjustment Monday has made left hip ache as its now in the right place and I'm not looking forward to standing all day but I am mentally ready for today.

Need coffee and dogs need in. Have a wonderful day.

Ohhh what is the name of your Vit E Cream?? I will have to check it out!

Well my coffee cup is empty and its chilly here where my computer is so I need to warm up with another cup, have a great Wednesday everyone! :waving3:
It is Fruit of the Earth Vit E cream. I got mine at Walmart but it is available on-line.

I, too, noticed the date but was so busy that I forgot to join in yesterday and mention it. Today is Wednesday which means it's also my office's annual Appetizer/Dip contest. So far, I'm the only entry and I can't win as I'm on the committee that puts it on. No biggie, I'll take the silent win!

I also interview for a promotion in my office this afternoon. It's with my supervisor and two other ladies from the office. I know I've got the job I just have to do the interview. Hubby also interviewed this week for what would be a promotion for him. It would also be a move as he currently works for a private firm and would move to State Government.

That all my big news today. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday!

HUGS!!!
I slept like a rock last night!
Praying things are OK now with Cait at work!
Is she still in school and this job is an internship?

Late to the party again!
Been doing some reorganizing. Also been working on getting things together to give to my granddaughter from the she shed. And I haven't sold any more of my craft books on FB marketplace.....time to donate! Gonna let my granddaughter look through them first.
Been looking into places to take the family this weekend for my supplied meal. I'd much rather pay the money than to spend all of the time I usually do in prep and cooking and then to have a bunch of leftovers....not to mention missing the time spent with the kids while they are in and I'm overlooking all the food! Sounds like a win/win to me!
Ilene will be spending the day with us, too, on Saturday. My oldest daughter stays with her when they come in and Tim's sister will stay with Ilene, too. She and Jessica are scheming games for the weekend.
Getting ready to do some more redownloads. I'm ready for church, so I'll spend a couple of hours doing that until I find out what Mark wants for supper.
Have a great afternoon!

That is so true. At my young cousin's funeral in South Carolina years ago everyone sent plants and things that could be replanted, like hydrangea bushes. The church delivered them to the house later on so they could be planted or used at home... Such a nice gesture.
And, my friend who is Jewish once told me not to send cut flowers to a Jewish funeral for the same reason you stated.
Since both the above events and learning I haven't ever sent cut flowers, in fact I rarely give them anymore because it's true, they are dead and will get dead-er. (I like the way you put that.)
