Happy Monday- very quick one today. Catzilla is here to say good morning, and I have a wreck of a house, busy fun weekend! But I need Recovery Time after 2 days of "busy."

The house party was fun. My parents and IL's couldn't make it up b/c of the weather, so we invited two of our other neighbors and it was great. Yesterday was seeing Rent with my BFF, my niece and Caitlyn. Just incredible and powerful and amazing as always. It was a fantastic feeling to share it with my girls.

Today, the schools have 90 min delayed opening and we all know how much that screws me up! But it will give me a few extra minutes to get my act together, since I am moving slowly.

I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend (Go Giants!) and I'll be back later to check in!

i'm so glad the Steelers (my hometown team) got eliminated early on. Pittsburgh is REALLY annoying when the football team is in the playoffs.... (i'm not that big a sports fan, but if i am, it's hockey.)

i absolutely am going to get out of the house today. 50 degrees!! with inches of snow on the ground! i love it.

wow. am i boring.

Feeling ok today - still a bit sniffly - but otherwise ok. I'm in a stress mode - I'm so behind with everything. This makes me go into total ADHD mode - hence: nothing gets done.

Then I got a call from a place where I work at times. So - I'm working Thursday + Friday. It's a Christian centre where I sometime help out in the kitchen. And now I learned that Tina (she's the one who work full time in the kitchen) needs to be home, and they wanted me to come and work instead. Good thing: no guests this week, but there needs to be preparations done. Tina got the worst cold, and she needs to get well before Feb 1 - cuz she's having surgery then. So ... I guess it'll be lots of work for me in the coming weeks. Great - the money won't hurt ;)

MMM: I want to spend all day knitting and continue with 90210 ... not gonna happen.

Hi ladies....It's been so very cold and rainy and cloudy and my hotflashes have subsided quite a bit..............so I am freezing my behind off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay.......today is STAY WARM and go get Jaiden's glasses.....poor thing....her eyes had made such improvement after wearing her glasses for three months (she is extremely farsighted and her eyes were crossing to compensate).....but she broke them right after Christmas and the STUPID STUPID place we got them from has taken this long to get a new pair in...so she is right back to where she started! :yell:
I called them Saturday (Jaiden wasn't here though) and they said "Oh we just got them in today".....YEAH....I BELIEVE THAT THEY WERE DELIVERED ON SATURDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why would it take over three weeks anyway??? UUUGGGHHHHH!!!!!






Other than that....I have MOUNTAINS and I mean MOUNTAINS of laundry to do....I did not do ANY last week!!! WHAT WAS I THINKING :noidea: (still used to just doing for Mike and I....did not need to wash very much for just us!!!

Can someone tell me why Chrome makes all my posts look like that?? when I hit the spacebar to make a space between paragraphs....I GET 10!!!!:noidea:

anyways....hello all....iin SO MUCH PAIN TODAY...last night i burnt my throat on dinner....i really do NOT recommend doing this...avoid it at all costs it feels like you have strep throat...sucks!!! hurts to swallow hurts to talk....i'll probably only be drinking cold items today...no food

on another note...today is my mom's birthday! weeee shes uhhhh hmmm i dunno haha 54 I think?

anyways im extremely exhausted me and dh went out and we were out til like after midnight blah too old for that!!! and little miss helena was UP at that time....silly girl...me and her...nap time ohh yeah LOL
 
Happy Monday everyone!! Up since 4:30 this morning ugh!! Lots running through my little brain. My poor sweet Mr. Abu (cat) has gone downhill and is now as blind as a bat!! He is running into the doors and chairs and can't see my hand in front of his face. He won't let me touch him and so now I have to take him to the Vet and see if it is time to say goodbye to my old friend?? Silly to worry so much over a pet I know, but he has been with us for a very long time. I hate to see him this way, I'm not sure if he is in any pain or not? The Vet visit will have to wait until tomorrow when I am off work. That is the other reason I am up early...so mad at my hubby!!!! We got to arguing last night over him taking a week off to help me out when I have to go babysit for our son while he and his wife are in Amsterdam on Military training. He doesn't think that he needs to come and I would really like to have the help!! He thinks nothing of taking time when its something he needs, but for me or anyone else....well don't get me started :rant: Right now I am ready to trade him on a less selfish model!!

Chris - Nice that you have a little extra time this morning to get yourself organized! Sounds like you had a very productive weekend and hope you get to have that nap!!

Phylis - What's your favorite hockey team? We are big Boston Bruins fans at our house, everyone thinks because we live in B.C. that we should be Canuck fans...but we can't stand the Vancouver Canucks!! Go Bruins!!

Eva - Glad that you are feeling better! It will be good for you to get away from the T.V. for a bit don't you think? LOL Hope that work goes well for you!! Love your layout by the way!

Nana Linda - Can I come and hang out with you today! I could use my U.S.A. sister's shoulder to cry on!! Like you don't already have enough on your plate LOL. Glad to hear that your hot flashes have gotten a bit better! Not sure why your Chrome is acting so wierd?? Try searching in Chrome help, maybe the answer is there? Would love to come help with the :washing: rather than go to work!!

Kiliki - Happy Birthday to your Mother! She is still very young!! (younger than me anyway) Hope you and Helena get that nap today!

yes Chrome sucks....I had it for a while...and for a while it worked GREAT...but then it started crapping out on me....so I removed it from my computer....and now im back to firefox...which has its issues...but there isn't a better one that I have found yet....cause i HATE IE....blah.....anyways

on a side note...see the cute picture of me and dh I took last night?? hehe its my new avatar!

im sorry to hear about your Cat trudy :( poor thing and I dont think its silly at all to worry....my pets are like my children *hugs*
 
Hi my sweet O-Fam! I am still soooooooooo tired- but I think I have the house back under control. Second load of laundry is in the dryer, all kids to school, coupons clipped, menu/shopping list planned, dishes and dishwasher are all done, and bills paid. Whew.....
Now I have some CT work and then, nap time!!!

Eva- glad that you are feeling better. When my brain goes bonkers like that - which is often, I have to pull out super-duper detailed to-do lists, or all I do in walk in circles, wondering what I am supposed to be doing and why. Its sad. LOL

Phyllis- I used to be a huge hockey fan (Ranges!!) back in the day. Hockey is bar far the most exciting sport to watch, IMHO.
I don't follow much in sports any more, but I used to.
We got about 6-7 inches of snow, and now its just drippy freezing rain, what a mess. ;)

Nana-- how frustrating! Its not like you were ordering a pair of socks or something. jeez!
Good luck with the laundry. Have the kids "help". hahahahahaaaaa! Yeah, I am funny, dammit.

Trudy- you know that I totally understand where you are coming from and how difficult that decision is. I can tell you til I am blue in the face how you have to appreciate how much of a good life he has had, but it doesn't make it any easier. Good luck and lots of love to you and your fur-baby.

Oh and don't get me started on men!! I asked Gary whey he didn't even do the dishes in the sink- he calmly and bluntly admits." I was being lazy." :rant:

Just checking in real quick so you don't think I've dropped off the face of the earth.....hee hee

My daughter arrived Saturday and I've had the mostest fun with her. I work today and tomorrow and then can spend time with her until next Monday, Tuesday....then together again until she has to leave that Saturday/Sunday....;>(

My Mom is doing much better and is able to get in a wheel chair now....big strides.....

Hey ladies!!

Just popping in for a few minutes before I run off to clean my house a bit. WE're having people over for dinner tonight. Our friend Dave is headed off to Afg. sometime soon, although we don't know when. I know we HAVE to sit down and talk tonight and get things figured out since I have his POA so will have to take care of some planned things and any random things that come up. That is if he can get ahold of me to let me know. He's with a special ops type of group which means no fancy place to stay with the luxuries of the larger bases...like internet or regular mail. I am soooooo glad my husband is medical, also that Dave has no kids he's leaving behind. Those are the bravest wives of all. Most of them are really great about the deployments too even though they are the scariest. Since moving here I have gotten to know a lot more military spouses that are not medical. Us medical wives are the whiniest and most spoiled of the bunch. LOL!! But we are the minority here in NC. This is an airborne post so most of the soldiers are infantry based and deploy a lot. I know far too many people that are on their 3,4 or 5 deployments and can never get away from this place. It is the black hole of the Army. Oh, have I mentioned what we have been waiting on the past month or two? On the cover of the Army Times around Christmas was an article about early retirements. One of the possibilities with Obama's down size plan. We are hoping it goes through and we'd be headed home sometime this year. I'm trying not to put all my eggs in that basket but I've already got the summer planned if that's what happens. Hopefully we'll know in April since that's when things are supposed to start changing. We'll see. Fingers crossed.

Chris - One day I want to make it to see RENT in NY. I've only seen the movie version, which I loved...but know it can't be anything like seeing it on stage. Such a powerful story of love of all types. Love it!!

Phyllis - That's funny about your take on the Steelers. I don't even know who is playing...although as usual...not the Seahawks. We had one good year and all the rest...CRAP!! Enjoy your warm weather snow. :)

Eva - I love that LO!! Very cool that you get some work in for some extra money...too bad it is at the cost of that lady's health though. Have a great day.

Linda - I don't know why you are having so much trouble with Chrome. I love it and haven't had all those issues. I'm using it right now. I also use FF a lot. Chrome works better for me when I'm editing pics on FB. So weird how each program seems to have a mind of its own when on different computers. Lame!! Good luck with glasses and laundry. I love how some customer service people just don't understand how much it affects others when they are slow doing their job. Hopefully the glasses work faster this time. I know there are some sites that have inexpensive glasses. Maybe it would be worth looking into to get a cheap extra pair for emergencies.

Kristy - glad you had a good time last night. Nights out alone with the hubby are always so important and never happen often enough. Great pic. Hopefully your throat will feel better soon.

Trudy - Hugs to you and your fur baby. Without kids in the house I'm sure that poor kitty has especially become more like a child. Saying goodbye...or even thinking about it is never easy. HUgs!!

Chris - WHAT??? Men are a pain?? I had no idea. LOL!! Derek has chest puffing issues...I am man, hear me roar!! He is always such a butt around his friends...that's our usual issue. He really proves the middle child syndrome all too often. LOL!! BUt it works itself out and then they turn around and act like themselves in a different way and remind us why we love them...at least I hope so.

Hi ladies!
I just can't remember what was written here..
It's busy at work. i work in an greenhouse, and we are about to change the plants. We have to do everything! New plastic on the ground, new ...new....everything GAH!! The most NOT-funny weeks during the year.
I worked until 5pm, rushed home, and 5:45pm I had to pick up Imke and her friend for the swimminglesson. At 7:30pm I got home. DH put the girls in bed, and now I'm exhausted!
So I won't be around much these 2 weeks *sigh*

It is almost 60 here today in MO.............yep, the calendar says January 23! I'm not complaining, but am kinda wondering what's up?!

I have lots I should be doing, but think I'll take a swing though the gallery be inspired!
