Good Morning Ladies!!!

I was up at 4 am!! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

But...I did spend about an hour in the gallery!! AWESOME!!

So Mike went in to work yesterday and they let him come home, they found someone to cover his route. He napped a lot and managed to rejuvinate a bit. He was definately more himself by the afternoon!! and now he has a three day weekend!! Hopefully they will straighten out his route next week and he can get back to normal. It's really hard to explain how that all works...but basically what it boils down to, there are a lot of people doing jobs there, that have no idea what they are doing. When you have three men that get off at 5 pm...and one man that isn't getting off until 9 pm....you would think they could see there was a problem. They are suppose to be able to adjust according by combining surrrounding routes to shift things back and forth to help out. ANYWAY...thanks for your thoughts and prayers to our sitution...we will be really looking hard at things over the next few months and make some decisions....

Chris...hope you are sleeping in toay sweetie!!! How has the first few days of school gone??

Laurie...the biscuits sound YUMMY...do indeed share your recipe!!!

LindaS...LOVE seeing you in the O....how was the football game??

Krista...yay for getting the closets and dressers cleaned out!! How did shopping go? I remember those days!! I was always a TWICE a year shopper...just before school started and the beginning of spring...so it was always a pretty big haul at once, but it was done....I just did not have time to run to the mall once a week!! Sorry Peter doesn't like his job either. Well, it's really not that Mike doesn't like his job, he is just worn out from it.

Trudy....How was the dentist?? GOOD REPORT I hope!! You should take a tylenol before you go to help with the sore teeth.....thanks for the advice...wish it were that easy!! They bid their routes every two years...to get route that is not as pysically demanding on him, he would have to take a country route....LOTS of riding/driving, not much delivering...but he would not get home until 9 pm EVERY night then..and at Christmas it's about 10 or 11 pm. What do you do??

Meg...HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the hubs!! Hope you feel better soon too ((HUGS)) I am with Clara...HOW DO YOU NOT BREATHE?? What kind of warning is that?? and I WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THE RED VELVET PANCAKES TOO!! Red Velvet is my FAVE cake!!

HI CLARA!!!! How is the moving in going?? Glad you were able to get the bugs taken care of!!

Nana .... 4am ... WTH???? BOOO!!! Hope you have a nap this afternoon :) I :love: naps!! I'm glad to hear that Mike got to come home a little early yesterday and nap!!! Again I :love: naps!! Hope you two have a wonderfully relaxing snuggle time weekend together. ::grouphuh

Shopping .... ohhh the joys of shopping with 4 girls!! :faint: Actually it went very well, the girls were good, minus Keisha terrorizing in the mall, and Mya have a bit of a meltdown in Bonnie Togs, it was good!! I have to take a picture of what it looks like to go back to school shopping for 4 girls!! LOL!!

Today .... I'm off to work in the next 10 minutes, until likely 3ish, then hopefully home for a wee nap ... yes I :love: naps!! :) Fire idea for this weekend is out due to Mother Nature and the rain. We are hoping that it clears enough that possibly we can take the girls to the drive in tonight :)

I am not going to complain about the dog waking me at 6am to you Linda! But to everyone else, why is it that the one day I can sleep until its not pitch dark outside the dog has to wake me up?

I am not sure how my day is going to go. The cat that had been sick got "medical clearance" that there is no reason why he is still peeing out of the litter box. But he is peeing all over my bathrooms. I have to call the vet and see what the next step is, and I am not looking forward to that:(

I am going to run through the rest of the "New Posts" (I have to do them in order or I get lost) and then I promise to make it back for personals. I have a whole week's worth of catching up to do.
 
There is no way I am going to be able to catch up on the whole week, I'll get so confuzzled- I am so sorry!

Laurie- you have to post that recipe! I would have rather stayed home and scrapped yesterday too. How was your dance? I don't know if I ever said this, but I love that you and YMG do that together- I bet it is one way that you really get to connect with him, esp when you have been married a while. I see so many couples (myself included) that have a hard time keeping that "flame" alive.

Linda S-- Hope that you slept in and are enjoying the weekend!So how many posts do you think you'll get in over the weekend? 1000? :D

Linda W- ITA with you-- Fridays "good" Mondays "not as good" (See, I am trying to be more positive towards Mondays, I didn't say that they stink!)
Ohhh I am so sorry about the job situation. Thinking great thoughts for you both!

Krista- I give you total credit (and a handful of Xanax LOL) for taking 4 girls clothes shopping. I have a heard enough time just taking Caitlyn and her enormous attitude. So, let me guess, you like naps? Just a little? You deserve them, that is for sure!

Trudy- I hope that the dentist went well.

Clara- ROTF! Hope your allergies are ok. How did you do with Earl? You are far enough inland to only get some rain? It didn't even rain by us, which is good, I guess We still need the rain from the drought this summer, but at least now Scott can mow lawns today.

Good morning ladies. I slept late...until 8!!! I could do a happy dance over that!!! Might have slept later but woke to my darling daughter yelling "Mom, I need you." After stumbling down the stairs, I found that her need was for me to lay on the sofa with her and snuggle. Couldn't complain too much about that!

We are heading to the Farmers Market and Brian's already in the shower so I guess I should get to moving. Just needed to get a quick O-fix before that happened!
 
Good afternoon everyone... Spent the morning cleaning and now a little "O" time. Have to head downtown and find a small birthday gift for my SIL it's her 45th tomorrow. Dentist went well... no cavities and good checkup, sore teeth from cleaning but I knew that was going to happen. Took your advice Linda and took Tylenol but it wasn't until I got home, still it helped a bunch Thanks!!
Meg- Happy birthday to your hubby and I am going to try out those pancakes very soon Ymmmm!!
Laurie - can't wait to see the biscuit layout!
Linda S - Yay for sleeping in!! I love lazy weekend mornings and cuddles on the couch are even better!!
Krista - Ok where do you live that there is still a drive-in??? I used to love taking the kids to the drive in...so much fun!!
Nana Linda - So glad that your hubby got to rest up a bit, hopefully the two of you have a wonderful quiet-time weekend together!
Chris - sorry that your kitty is still not behaving, my cat did that for a while also and I tried a much bigger litter box, it seemed to do the trick, although he never did like to share his litter box too much and usually would just go outside and come right back in. But if your cats are just inside pets then that is not an option is it.
Hope everyone has a fantastic long weekend, fire for us tonight and roasting hot dogs. Fireban has finally been lifted. :wave:
 
Nana Linda -- YAY!! I'm so glad he was able to take a break and they would finally be taking care of it (hopefully!) It's the policy at our local hub that the drivers need to be in no later than 8 -- but I have a feeling that they think the drivers aren't preforming fast enough if they're in later. That the route isn't the problem :\

As far as the air -- Oh my goodness, their advisory was to LEAVE THE AREA. Uhm, kind of hard when you have meetings, and a limited budget, and one car!

Krista -- Aw the Drive In! I'm jealous, ours was torn down for a Home Depot and Costco.

Chris -- Have you tried the "Bark Off"? My friend said it worked wonders for her alarm dog!

Linda -- Have fun at the farmer's market! I need to check out ours to get some australorp chicks.
 
brrr- 68 and breezy- making my sinus act up, guess that means inside time till the winds die down- dh upgraded his phone to a droid2- I want one, but don't want to spend the $$ and his work will pay for his.

chris- yes dancing is a way we stay connected- as a couple and figuratively- we were able to run through 1 time with many mess ups our original wedding song with the routine we have been trying to learn. It is coming together- it even has a dip in it.

Krista- can't imagine shopping for 4 girls

trudy- glad the appt went well and that you can have your fire

Today I went to the walmarts with my MIL, price checked some supplies for when we get our chicks & build the chicken coop! I also stocked up on some toiletries -- shampoo, toothpaste, etc.
Now I'm trying to concentrate on NOT COUGHING... because my neck muscles & ribs are super sore. I'm also having a great conversation via texting with one of my good friends from college :) It's definitely going to be a relaxing day!
 
Trudy, I'm in Stratford --- there are 3 different drive in's within an hour drive from us :) It's great!! :)

Looks like the drive in is out for tonight .... :( .... too much wind and rain .... Mother nature is being a nasty B today!! LOL!! :) Peter and the girls have gone out to rent movies and Wii Games for tonight .... it's Junk Food supper night and movies and games ;) WooT!! Which means mommy will get time to play at the O and scrap :)

Hopefully the weather will be a little nicer tomorrow :)
 
Hey girls- the "puppy" woke me at 6 and let me stay in bed until 6:30- so that wasn't as bad as yesterday. Meg, I am going to google the Bark Off- but she doesn't bark as much as whine. She is 15 yo and I know she has a hard time "holding it" at this point. I know that someday I am going to be awake at 6am and wishing she was whining at me :(

Laurie- good for you for walking,hope your legs are not hurting too much.

Meg- chickens? Are you going to be using them for eggs? (not dinner?!?) That is cool- we have a friend who has chickens mostly for eggs.

Trudy- no cavities! GFY!

We had a very loud day here yesterday. Scott had a bunch of his friends over. They were :rockon: and :drum: and :music: and a little bit of :fencing: (with branches) so I was :hail: when everyone went home.
 
morning all - sunny and less windy today- my allergies appreciate that! No jello legs today- I need to start using the bowflex though to get stronger- part of the routine dh and I are doing to Chicago's color my world (our original wedding first dance song) has a dip in it, and I have discovered at 50+ I am not so good at dipping! So I need to be stretching, and strengthening which will help with my desire to have less to move around the dance floor. I'm doing church, shopping for a new grill part, some work and some cleaning today- and some scrapping- sounds like a well rounded day to me!

Good morning ladies. I was up at 6:30 this morning so still slept much later than on a weekday.

Meg, thanks for hooking us up with that Red Velvet pancake recipe! That looks delish!!! I've got it bookmarked in my favs.

Chris, it sounds like it was wild at your house yesterday. :-) Of course, it is wild and noisy at my house and I just have two.

We ate our way through breakfast at the Farmer's Market in the morning and then, for supper, we ate our way through the Latino Festival. The Latino Festival also had all of those big inflatable slides and obstacle course that the kids love, so they were happy.

Now, I'm going to make me happy and do some scrapping. And have a cup of coffee since Brian replaced the coffee pot that died on Saturday morning.
 
Laurie- if you look around carefully, you'll notice some similarities between Krista and Sally. No they never sleep, they scrap like crazy, are super talented, have gorgeous kids. In fact, I think the only difference is that Krista doesn't like Mondays as much as Sally. (IMHO I think that they are aliens!)
 
Whoa yes, my house was wild. 8 14 yo boys (plus the BFF/GF), 13 guitars, 1 bass, 1 drum kit....... oh yeah..... loud!!!!

I need lots of it!!! Given I was up at 4 am yesterday...did not go to bed until 1 am this morning (Mike and I were up watching movies and chatting...how fabulous!!!! See what that day off did for him??) Mike had the alarm set for 6 am....UUUGGHHH!! Naturally it woke me up too!! He left at 7 to head to the hunt club.....I have the house to MYSELF all day!! Cleaning and washing....and hopefully scrapping!!! I am dying to get my grubby hands on Kathryn's new COOL kit COOL BREEZE. LOVE IT!!!

We did manage to get to Walmart yesterday evening...I swear....how depressing!! The buggy was only about half full and it was $160!! AACCKKK!! NO MEATS AND NO CLEANING STUFF!!! Three Onions almost $6!!!

SALLLLEEEE!!! I AM GOING TO LOVE LOVE LOVE this Monday!! IT"S A HOLIDAY!!! So no work, no babysitting....just me and my Man...Oh and decided it would definately be a TWO person cookout!! Going to enjoy the deck and the gazebo....The temps have been fabulous the last two days...and tomorrow should be really nice too!!

Krista....Sounds like a fab day shopping!! I remember...I used to the our 5 girls all together....it's very hairy...but they are always over the moon happy when you get home...LOVE showing off the new stuff!! Haha...now...I can't stand to shop with any of them!!! Either they don't like to shop (well that would just be Traci) but the rest of them just drive me nuts....Alison can NEVER make up her mind, Jamie is trying to pinch pennies so badly, but yet still shop in the expensive store and ends up sad because she can't afford it (she has actually cried on me before), Annette..oh my that child has NO concept of MONEY!!! and Sharon...well...she is not too bad...she just has to go to EVERY baby department/store..EVERY single one!! HAHA..last week at Toys R Us she drags me to the baby section to look at strollers and cribs...WHAT???? She has all of that, and she isn't having any more kids (she got fixed). Oh a book..sorry...

Chris...POOOOR Kitty and BAAAAD doggie!!! I know you love your fur babies..but these are good reasons I don't have any!! I need a turtle or gold fish I guess HAHA!! WOOOO HOOOO on all that posting you have been doing!! I LOVE seeing you back in the gallery!! Your scrapping too!!

Trudy...YIPEEEEE...glad you had a good check up!! I did not mind the dentist for years...but a few years ago, I had to have a cap? done (took most of my tooth out...put a temporary filling in...and made a permanant filling for it to put in later. It took them 2 hours to do the work, and they put that circle looking intrument in my mouth to hold it open, and NEVER once during that two hours gave me a break...my jaw locke up and he had a H%^L of a time getting it unlocked....it really was extremely TRAUMATIC...my nerves were torn up for days!! not to mention the sore jaw for the next three months!!! So the dentist is not my fave anymore!! ANYWAY...Hope your SIL has a great Bday!!!!

Krista...we have a drive in about 40 minutes from here...Mike doesn't like to go though...he just is not into movies that much. Although...maybe I can play on the nostalgia, that it would be a FUN experience for the Little Man!! HE WOULD LOVE IT!!! maybe I should take him and Jesse...Jesse would love it too!! Laurie.....We had a bowflex for a while....if you want a WORKOUT in a SHORT time...that is one way to get it for sure....I worked out 4 times a week for several months...but that was when Cameran was a baby...then he became mobile and I was chasing him....we ended up getting rid of it, due to ROOM since we started getting more grandchildren that like to hang out at Nana's house.!! I envy your dancing!! Can't convince my DUD husband to do anything like that!!!

LindaS....well could have been chatting with you too!!!! IT"S Sunday for goodness sakes...why aren't we all sleeping in?? BAH!!!!! The Farmers Market and Latino Festival sound like a lot of fun....You guys are always doing such fun stuff!!! Coming to your house too :mrgreen:

The weather is looking a little better here this morning .... hopefully it holds so we can go to the drive in :) Need to get the girls out of the house today. I don't think any of them got dressed yesterday!! LOL!! :) Ohhh wait yeah they did, they went with Daddy to rent movies. LOL!! :) I got to scrap and scrap and SCRAP last night, it was awesome :) Sally, Sara and I had a wee chat party of yahoo and scrapped together ... sooo much fun!!

Ok I will be back ... Keisha is feeding Peter his breakfast right now .. lol ... and sniffing his sausages .... ohhhh dear the child is going to be the death of us!! LOL!! :)
 
Chris - Aw, I know how you feel! I lost my pup this last January from lymphoma. She had beat it into remission, but it came back with a vengeance. By that point, we were ready to say goodbye. I still miss her morning smiles!

Laurie -- That definitely is a well rounded day -- but I don't see any scrapping in there!

Linda -- Hooray for what sounds like a very nice day!!

Nana Linda -- I hope you enjoy your cookoff!! I'm sorry your walmart trip was expensive, mine was surprisingly not. Yeah... about the air watch people... they advise for people to leave, but that's about it. It's not like it's a hurricane, so there's no services for people who can't handle the air and really do need to leave.

Krista -- Aw sounds like you had fun last night!! Good luck with the weather, feel free to send it my way!
 
Today's plan was to sleep in... but I'm already awake an hour earlier than normal. My schedule isn't that normal because I stay up late until I know my husband has arrived at work, which means I sleep in later... but I'm up at a decent time today!!

Guess what? The cough hasn't reared it's ugly head this morning!! Why? I put VICKS on my FEET! Jeff remembered a lady from our church told us to do that the last time this happened, I never tried it until now. I kind of had to try it, my throat and lungs were so worn out that I was coughing up tiny bits of blood.

I'm off to shower and wait for the hubs to get home! Today's my best friend's birhday, I made her a LO that I'll post later... I couldn't find papers that I liked for the LO, so I ended up making some! Definitely will post those on my blog later :)
