How was everyone's week? Survived it, and that is what counts.;)

Its my mom's birthday today, and y'all know how much I adore my mom. So I am sending a big shout out to her,
Happy Birthday Mom, I love you!!!

Today we are off to Scott's Lyme dr. Gonna be a long day for sure. We have more snow (blech!!) and it is almost a 2 hour trip to begin with. He is so desperately wanting to go back to school, and we just don't think he is ready. He had 3 good days this week, but Monday and Friday were not. He really needs to be 100% caught up with school work and as close to 100% physically as he can be. Wish us luck, he is not going to be happy, I think. :(

I have to go dry my hair, but I will be back.
 
Hey hey- drier and frizzier hair! Man, I need a cut and color in the worst way- been many months.... Thank goodness it is long and I can just pull it back.

Can we just officially make "Snow" a four-letter word????
I can't complain b/c the amounts of snow and cold in NJ is nowhere near as bad as many of you. But Its only the first week of January and I am so sick of it. The cold is just so painful as well. Y'all know me, I am happiest out in the sun- gardening, beach, walking, whatever- give me hot and humid over this any day!

Swinging through for just a minute! It's bitterly cold here...the wind chills are way down deep. Our driveway is drifted in AGAIN! And I have to get to work this morning! Ugh!!! I did tell Brian that we weren't going to shovel until daylight...not with these wind chills. It's not worth frost bite and heart attacks.

I have a lump on my clavicle and that has slowed down the workouts. The doctor did x-rays and they can't find anything. So they think that it may be tendonitis. If it doesn't disappear by next week, then they will send me to an ortho. Great!

Can't get caught up. Need some time to refresh my soul...probably not in January...maybe in February!

Ok...enough of my complaining! It's Friday! Put on my happy face and let's get it started!
 
I don't want to be awake yet! I've been up for 1.5 hrs so I could hitch a ride to town. the driveway at my house last night was completely covered over, so no way would my car have been able to handle that. Anyway, I'm at work now, but not awake enough to actually work. Last night I scrapped some since I knew I'd have no internet, (wrote down a couple O challenges so I could remember what to do, lol).

Anyway, it looks beautiful outside. Hoping I'll get a call or email about taking some pictures today since I just Need to you know.

Also, I know how you are feeling about the hair this morning. I had to blowdry it since I knew I'd freeze if I didn't, so now I have a frizzball head.

omg, slept in today. woke up at 8am and had to shower, get 2 kids ready, fed & out the door by 8:30... ARG! BUT... we did it!!!! they even had regular cereal instead of dry cereal in the car lol. Although I did probably have the shortest shower of my life. in hindsight I could have just hid my nasty hair under a hat & came home after Kylie was at school to have a shower lol. Instead I showered & just had breakfast after I got her to school.

Got a doc appt for wednesday to ask about meds for my anxiety. Honestly, I tell people I was a great Mom to 1 child but not to 2. I just can't seem to get it working for me... I'm very much overwhelmed... and I've been doing it for almost 3 years already. and getting house work done? yeah, right. laundry is always behind, dishes are never clean, the place is always messy. and I'm SO moody... it's crazy. one minuted I'm giddy happy, then next I'm screaming at the top of my lungs. And I'm always picking fights with DH... he's getting really annoyed with me lol.

So those of you on meds... does it just take the edge off or are you opposite really mellow now? I really miss my happy go lucky laid back self but I don't want to be a zombie either...
 
Good morning ladies. So, I am on day 6 of no sugar and I am kind of liking it. So, I'm not going super crazy. Just no sweets, but I eat a lot of sweets and junk. I haven't eaten any junk this week and I am amazed at how much better I feel this week with the proper amount of sleep and eating proper food. Amazing. I need to keep this up. I mean I'm still a bit run down but if I keep this up I should be back to my regular self and have good energy very soon.

So, yesterday while I was looking for vitamins I walked through the book section and this pure smut book "fell" into my cart called "My Horizontal Life" by Chelsea Handler. So not my usual type of book. Total and complete smut like I said but I can't wait to read about all her trysts. She is so spazzy and crazy and totally inappropriate and completely unappologetic for it. I love her. I can't wait to read it. It's horrible. :) Lol.

So, my boss came to visit yesterday. He ended up visiting with my husband more than me. Go figure. they worked together long ago, before we were married or anything. Anyway, he came out to see me at my office to let me know the hospital had done a market cost analysis and so my position had received a rate increase. Yay!! So, I got a 3% raise. And I'll get another one in May when I get my yearly eval. Awesome. Plus I was able to show him a couple of things I needed in my space. Speaking of which. I need to talk to the manager of the clinic here to see if something in my space belongs to them or to us. (I don't work for the clinic I work at but for the hospital, it is confusing). Okay, I took care of that.

So, my pseudo sister wants my kids this weekend. Which is cool, sort of. It is more of a pain though. She wouldn't come up with a plan or anything. Just "Hey, I want your kids." Last night I finally said what do you want to do. I'm not planning this for you. So she picked some times and places to meet. She lives an hour north of me so it isn't as easy as just coming over and picking them up. I tried to get them a ride up tonight but it didn't work out. Too bad. I have no idea what i will be doing with out them this weekend. Sleeping, scrapping, cleaning, organizing some things. Who knows. We'll see what happens.

Hi girlies!!!!!!!!!

Just repeating...........IT's COLD!!!!! Coldest day this week so far...it's 2 pm and it's 12 degrees outside....DH got the chance to take the day off...HE DID!! I am glad...he has been a big help with the kids today...Cameran was here this morning..school started two hours late because there was ice last night in the upper levels of the mountains...Sharon's house is right at the foot of one mountain and they got about 2" of snow...we live 10 minutes from her but we did not get anything. DH took him to school..and he went to pick him up...it's been rough for me taking the babies out everyday to get him...TOO COLD!!! Both of them have been way off schedule today...not sure what the deal is!!

Since DH is off from work...we are going out to eat tonight and do a little shopping...I need some clothes...in a bad way!!! He needs a few things too...maybe we will find a few left overs from the sales. I will probably have to shed 10 layers if I need to try on anything. LOL!!!

I hope everyone is warm!!! I know Helen doesn't visit the Daily O's...but I know she and Ona are warm!!

Clara: yay that you are feeling better! keep it up Mama! and yay no kids for the weekend... man I would cross rivers & mountains to have a kidless weekend lol.

update on me: so... the hospital called this morning with my GI xray appt... its in february. Then they call back this afternoon saying there is a cancellation MONDAY, can I come. eeks... short notice. but I call my friend and ask if she can take the kids and she says yes. I'm seriously gonna have to do something special for her, she always watches my kids for me! anyway... DH will drop the kids off b/c I have to leave the house at 7am just to get there on time + find a place to park the car. Good thing I just bought a book lol.

so yay, 1st step to my GI stuff done on monday. then they said probably another month or so before I get the endoscopy. DH will have to take time off for that one tho... b/c I need him to come with me.
 
oh yeah LindaW, it's cold here too... we have snow snow snow and a blowy wind today, ick! haven't warmed up in DAYS lol.
 
I have a question re: the oscraps shopping car. Does it know if I've bought something before of do I have to be super vigilant about that? I'm so bad, see something I like, buy it, then realize I already have it :(

Chris - Happy Birthday to your mom. I love your mom. She's awesome. I hope Scott takes everything well. I will pray for his healing. And yes, snow is a 4-letter word for a reason. Sending hugs. I hope after the doctor's visit you are able to have a good weekend.

LindaS - a lump in your clavicle? well, that's no good. I hope it goes away quickly. Well, get yourself happy and have a great weekend.

Elisa - sounds like you need to get yourself a 4-wheel drive. Get yourself some booming business to get yourself one. That just stinks to be reliant on other people. Stay safe and warm.

LindaP - enjoy your snow day...again!! you stay safe and warm too. dang. All this snow is unreal. Wow!!

Andrea/Nyx - okay lady. so I wanted to tell you a little bit about me and anxiety and how my medication helped me out. First of all, I never knew I had anxiety. I always thought anxiety was normal and everyone else just handled things better than I did. Finding out I had anxiety was half the battle in itself because then I could single it out and know what was going on. I never had anxiety attacks but would just be really uncomfortable. So uncomfortable that my kids couldn't touch me or make too much noise. Some days I couldn't have the radio too loud. If the house got too messy I would be completely overwhelmed. If things did not go as planned I would start crying and have a melt down. So, I started seeing this counselor who told me I had anxiety and then referred me to a nurse practitioner in her office for med management. She put me on Effexor. Effexor is two medications mixed into one...welbutrin and celexa (i think) type meds mixed together. It is supposed to take 4-6 weeks to notice a difference. About 4 weeks later I had a big day. It was the day of my dad's 50th surprise birthday party. It was a crazy day. My aunt flew into town the night before and was making me insane and I had to be around her all day long. The day started at 6:30 and I had to drive an hour in rush hour traffic to school for a 4 hour class. My dad had been in a bad mood all week because he was laying hard wood floors in their house but we needed him to go into work. We had everything worked out ahead of time for him to show up to the surprise party but because of his bad mood I knew that plan wouldn't work so I had to get ahold of the guy who was going to invite him out to tell him to say nothing. My dad's boss took the hit for us and forced him to come in to work for a meeting that wasn't even going to happen and my dad was angry. It was a mess. So, my mom was so busy at work getting ready to put in a new software system for their accounting system so even though this was her shindig I was putting it on and had taken care of everything. I went to my parents house to get some things my mom had left for me there and realized that I left my clothes at home an hour away. I am inbetween sizes of my mom and sister so I couldn't borrow anything so I had to buy something. So off to Target I went. If you ever need to buy an outfit at the last minute...don't go to Target. After everything was said and done and my DH knew I wouldn't kill him his comment to me was "Rave much?" in reference to my outfit. I just didn't have much time and there wasn't much that went together. My aunt continued to make me crazy. Then traffic was horrible. Then I had to call my dad in hopes that he would show up at his own surprise party, but had to find my aunt who disappeared at the party store. On the way to the party I get a call from my sister who is all upset because her loser boyfriend is causing them to be late and she's afraid they may not be there on time, while my dad is rushing my mom so that they may be early. I'm waiting for my DH to show up in the middle of Seattle on the bus so that we don't have two cars there. Then DH calls me on the phone. Normally this is a time when I would start yelling saying why aren't you doing something to make this easier! (even though there is nothing he can do). But I didn't. I was calm, and I knew everything was going to be okay. I knew that whether or not it all worked out the way it was supposed to my dad would know we loved him and that we had worked hard to put it together and everyone would have a good time regardless. I just wasn't worried. I wasn't numb by any means. I was sad for sisters stress, I thought my dad's annoyance was funny and I was ready to chop off my aunt's head and send her off with my mom and dad as soon as possible, but I was okay. My head was not spinning and I was ready to throw my dad an awesome 50th surprise birthday party and he was going to love it. So, on the drive there DH called me and it clicked in my head how calm I was and I told him...Effexor Rocks...and he said "you are really, really calm, aren't you?" And I have been taking it ever since. If I miss it for a day I'm okay, two days I'll be alright. But 3 days and you can tell I haven't been taking it and I can tell I haven't been taking my meds. Life is just easier. I'm not numb and by no means a zombie but I am able to enjoy my kids, my husband, or whatever else I think should be enjoyable in my life. I can just sit back and relax a little bit more and let life happen. Everyone is different. Different meds do different things for different people. Effexor is my wonder drug. Zoloft, Celexa, Prozac or whatever works for other people. Just depends on your issues and your chemistry. If something doesn't work make sure you say something and try something different. You might consider seeing a counselor or a nurse practitioner that does counseling. A nurse practitioner (at least in washington state) that specializes in psychology can prescribe medication in that field. That may be something to look into. Well, I think I just wrote you a book. This is just something that is so important to me. Good luck.

Nope you have to keep track of that yourself. But you can check your account and see if you've bought it. But Vicki is pretty good about it if you send her a message and say you double purchased something. You might want to try that. But no, you gotta keep track of your own stuff. Sorry. :(

Whoohoo!! Be prepared to drink some chalky stuff. yummy!! LOL!! It isn't so bad though. If they don't tell you there, after the appointment drink lots and lots of water. Barium really dehydrates you so drink lots and lots of water, then drink some more. And remember it is white so as it comes out...it will be whitish gray. Trying not to be too graphic. But I have talked to more people who have freaked out about that because no one told them that. If you have any questions about the procedure at all ask me. I can tell you all about it. It is really pretty simple. The radiologist is right there for part of it so can tell you some stuff right then, but not everything.
 
yup, knew about the chalky stuff... didn't think about the water & white poo lol so I'll try to remember those. I don't do well w/out food in the am so I hope it all goes quickly. Am I allowed to eat right after?

thanks Clara for that story. Honestly, if I could find a wonder drug like that it would be great. Try as I might, I just can't keep the grumpies away... I just can't. I love my kids & my husband so much, I just don't want to put them through this anymore. I always thought it was just the stress of not feeling well everyday... no I'm wondering if it's not something else. eeks!

wow, these 2 hours after I drop Myles off at school go fast. it's almost time to go pick him up already :(

a lot of my friends digi scrap although they all use CM software, that's how we started. I've already pointed a few in the O direction including my CM consultant lol. She particularly loves the freebies hehe.

I read a few pages about her on a cruise ship and she referred to her girlfriend she was cruising with as Dumb Dumb as though she was the smarter one as she was throwing up over the side of the ship. It made me laugh. Like I said, total smut.
