Good Morning my "O" Family!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wooot woooooot! Since I am up late going through the yummy gallery I thought I would surprise you all with some hot coffee and mini chocolate cheesecakes to get your morning started!!!

The coffee is on....the thread is started!! Let's pull up a chair and share! What are your plans for this weekend?? Anyone working on any Christmas projects for family/friends?

That was my head hitting my desk. What a fab way to wake up! And me, thinking I needed to start a diet. Those cheesecakes are calorie free, right? :D

Oh yes, big weekend for C-mas projects for me. I had a total freak out yesterday when I realized that December is next week. (next week from Monday but still!! GAH!!)
I am usually done w/ my shopping by Thanksgiving, but I only have a few things bought so far. And no ideas for anyone. (No $$ either, but I am not going there LOL)

But I did get several nice orders for F-W baskets, and I started working on them yesterday.
I am doing a wedding album for Brother and SIL so I need to get my butt working on that today too.

Linda W- too funny about only cooking for 11. Bet some days it is easier to feed 11 than one baby tho. Sorry to hear about the poopy start to your day.
I am like your mom- Christmas has to be at my house and yes, I have to bake my cookies or is *isn't* C-mas.

CLara- How was Addie's b-day?? Did you give her a snuggle from me?
Yes!! I am going to listen to rent- I am also going to put the DVD on my C-mas list if it is still available.

Elisa- oh please--- post here no matter what you have to say, That is what we all are here for- including Linda W and her poop story Buhahahahah!
I am sure that you are very interesting. And if you're not- we love you anyway! :)

Good morning ladies! Thanks for the early morning treats Kat! I really need the virtual treats...that's all the calorie intake I can afford right now! LOL

We have a fairly quiet weekend. I'm soooo happy about that! I need to try to get my act together here. Somehow it seems that I've lost November and it's almost gone now.

Kat........Woot thanks for the coffee and cheesecake....get my energy going to get in the gallery today....I need my typing fingers in tip top shape!!! I need to head to the toy store for my grandbabies...I have totally decided that I am giving mostly cash for Christmas this year...or Gift Cards....my immediate family has grown in such size, it's becoming more difficult to deal with the gift thing....14 to buy for that includes just our girls, their spouses, significant others and all the grandchildren!! I really am tired of the WORRY that is involved with Christmas....I want it to be CHRISTMAS!! My plan is this:

All of our children and spouses will receive a small gift of cash, and the grandbabies I will shop for as usual...but not begging and pleading what to get for them from the parents like I usually do....I will go and have fun buying for them like I used to do when my kids were little. I am committed to turning Christmas into a FAMILY event about celebrating it's true meaning...this might take me a couple of years...but when I was a child that is exactly what we did!!! We went to my grandparents for Christmas and there were no gifts (well my grandfather passed out dollar bills...I LOVED IT) and there were probably 40 of us there and it was so much fun!! Even my Mom says with all the cooking for everyone it was not so STRESSFUL...no gifts were exchanged either!! My Mom has suggested for a while that we all volunteer on Christmas at a shelter..do it together as a family. I like that idea!! But getting everyone on board is not so easy. If we has started this when the kids were little...it would have been so great!!! I will get an Angel Tree child to buy for too...that is probably my favorite part of Christmas shopping!! I feel like that whoever is getting these gifts that I buy truly appreciates them!! OKay...boy did that go into a ramble!!! LOL!!! I am just really struggling right now with how Christmas is so commercialized!!!

Chris...Oh **kiss** for that bump on your head now :p You are picking the wrong time of year to diet my dear!!! I LOVE HOMEMADE GIFTS!! They are the best...from the heart!!!! and awesome you got some FW baskets done!! WOOT!!! The wedding album will be a fabulous gift!!!

So for me...today it's cleaning....a major gallery run....dinner with my parents and misc stuff!!

Clara...I told DH about our conversation about spending "my" money...LOL..he said to tell you that I could have had a new camera before I started babysitting...he told me to buy it...but I just would not spend the money....He even gets on the computer and looks at them and sends me emails with links...LOL!! But he said thanks for looking out for me!! and that makes you okay in his book, because he does not like anyone to treat me bad!!:D
 
Oh LindaS...sweetie...you are too hard on yourself....you were SICK!! and it takes a bit to recover from that!! You are doing fabulous!!! and I think your ACT is just fine!!! Enjoy your quiet weekend!! (((HUGS))):p
 
Ohhh Chris....here (Kat hands Chris a pillow for her head)....ouchie did that hurt??? :) Of course the cheesecakes are calorie free :)

Chris - Do the kids have ipods? I think you said they love music. How about Itunes gift cards? I am loving gift cards this year...#1) because most people are buying themselves things with the economy so it's a nice treat for them to be able to get themselves something and #2) no hassle!!!! Gotta love that right?

This year I was actually very good - set limits and stuck to them . I usually tend to not limit myself at Christmas with Nick but this year we definitely wanted to dial it back we wanted to make sure we weren't sending the wrong message and that he doesn't expect a house full of goodies every year that we can't keep up! We also wanted to focus on the true meaning of Christmas :) He knows it....but this year we want him to learn it :) *LOL* As if he knew it was time too....Nick's Christmas list this year consists of only a few items. He actually only wants one thing and the rest he put on just in case Santa can't bring that :) So Santa doesn't feel bad :) *sigh*

Chris - Yes doll we are dancing.....but I tell ya...if I don't lose weight from all this dancing...someone will pay hahahahahaha I should have rock hard abs soon ;) At least we are not dancing alone :)

LindaS - yep I love love love the virtual food :) Can have anything I want without the guilt! I truly did make those little mini cheesecakes yesterday for a trial run for something at Nick's school. They were not pretty looking per se...but oh my word are they yummy! Oreo cookie base and chocolate cheesecake. You can only eat one little Mini one (Size of a mini muffin) or else you will definitely go into sugar overload! Seriously! *LOL* Lucky for me I am not a huge Chocoholic or else I would be in trouble!

Awww Thelma (((Hugs))) Chickie you are a CLASS act!!! You have nothing to worry about :) Remember you have not lost all of November! You are present for the best part!!!! Thanksgiving and we are all THANKFUL that you are and that you (& the family) are healthy!!!! we love ya!!! So glad to see you back!

LindaW - YES!!! Gift cards so rock!!! OHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh LINDA!!! We are sooooo on the same page!!!! Yes yes yes to the True Meaning this year! I am so glad that I am not the only one who thinks this :) I was to be honest soooo sickened this year that Christmas was out at Halloween. They have moved it even earlier....so sad. Can't we just enjoy one holiday at a time?

To all my "O" family who hasn't checked in yet - have a great one!!!

Okay ladies....well I am off to start my day!!!! The boys are now having a stiff Jenga Competition in the kitchen off to see what is happening :)

Awwww!! What a sweet heart. Well, what's the deal then? Go try on some cameras so you know what you like so he can buy you a Christmas present already. Then you don't have to do something for yourself and he can be a rockstar.
 
Sooo how is everyone's evenings going???

We are off to go visit my parents for a bit but when I get back I am soooooo scrapping!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait!

We are having a cousins' sleepover! Only missing Hannah (who is two hours away at college) and Zeb (who is on a date I think...16 year old boy...doesn't see the appeal of a cousins' sleepover). However, the 14 yo, 10 yo and 6 yo nieces are here with my two. Love all of the noise! How blessed am I!

And it's been a nice slow day at our house. I've had plenty of time to scrap and play in the gallery! How much better does it get?

Linda W- That is an awesome plan for C-mas. It is really hard to keep the gift shopping in check. Not so much for the actual buying for me, but the "want/need" to buy. I used to be able to go to the $ Store and pick up some fun goodies, but now they are too old for a lot of that. I guess I got used to lots of big boxes under the tree.

And what are you waiting for, girl? Get that camera so you have it for the holidays :)

Up and on my way to a workout this morning. How awful does that sound? The cousin sleepover rocked. I'll definitely try to scrap a page today!! I need some of those virtual cheesecakes to get through this workout for sure!

FIRST I WOULD LIKE TO THANK FOR ELISA!!! I WENT TO HER FOR ADVICE ON THIS ONE..........I LOVE YA GIRL!!...........

I am not a QVC watcher, but I am signed up for the special of the day and when I am looking for something specific, I do check there to see if they have something. They have fabulous deals and a lot of times they have EASY PAY options where you can pay over 5 or 6 months with no interest!! Well on Friday I received my SPECIAL OF THE DAY email..it was an Olympus E600 with the extra lens...bag..cables, 1GB xd card, all sorts of software...it looked liked a spectacular deal...but I had not even considered an Olympus and did not know anything about them. I tried looking online and did not find a whole lot as it's a fairly new camera...so I pm'd our FABULOUS ELISA and talked to her...she gave me some good advice...so with that and the fact that I have 30 days to send it back and get a full refund...I ORDERED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's like DH said...IF I do not like it, I can send it back, and then I have played long enough to figure out what I want and don't want....YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DH was really sweet too...He said "if you get this camera and it's not what you want, I want you to send it back, because I want you to have exactly what you want, even if it cost more"......as Clara would say HE GETS EXTRA COOL POINTS FOR THAT!!!!!!!!!! It reminded me of my Dad...he is like that about my Mom...she is afraid to say anything around my Dad anymore...she can just say "I think I would like to have that"....he runs out the next day and buys it for her!!!...of course at their ages, I think they should!! I tell her all the time that they worked hard and should have some of these things!!! Okay that turned into a novel...!!!

LindaS....the cousin sleepover sounds fabulous!! You know I love having a housefull....I probably would be in heaven there...hope your workout goes wonderful....You are my HERO!!!!!

Chris and Clara...as explained above...I did what you said!! I was going to wait to tell you guys until I actually got and played to see if I was going to like it. It gives me an expected date of Dec 1, but I am sure it will be here before then.

Chris...Yes...IKWYM about the $ store stuff....I can still do that with my grandbabies...but I am sure not for long....especially C-man....

The bad part all this gift giving now...besides buying for Christmas for 6 grandchildren (including DH's DD's kids in TN)...their birthdays are all here close too..

Jacob 9 - Nov 9th
Jesse 3 - Nov 9th (funny they have the same bday)
Cameran 5 - Jan 3rd
Hayden 5 - Jan 9th

Then we have Jaiden and Savannah..who did decide they would spread it away from Christmas a bit...August and September.....SMART GIRLS.. hehehehehe!!!

Oh let me get out of here...I am just talking nonsense stuff now!!!

Made it through the workout. Now I'm sitting here with a BodyBug on my arm and trying to make it upstairs to hit the shower. But I need to get my post count up so I decided to stop in her first.

Linda...a new camera! And in time for Christmas pics! How fun is that!!! Can't wait for you to get your hands on it! And for us to see the pics!!

Just popping in to say hi!

I'm taking a little break from cleaning...(working on my closet now since my cousin is coming later so I'm going to try to get her to take it, hehe.. that's mean). Feeling a little better physically today even though I didn't get to bed till late & got woken up with a phone call. Going to try to crash at a normal time tonight if I can.

Linda S I need to get my butt in gear and workout more too...I was doing good for like a month when summer started, but then I just got back OUT of the habit. ;) Glad to hear the cousins sleepover was fun!

Kat glad to know you are sticking to your limits this year and teaching Nick the real meaning. He sounds like a great kid :D And I hope you got all the scrapping time you wanted last night!

I just popped in real quick to stalk...since that's what I usually do on the weekends, but I see Linda ordered a camera. WHOHOO!! And that is exactly what I would say about your DH. He totally gets a bundle of extra cool points. Totally try it out and let us know what you think. I hope you love it. How cool to get an awesome camera for a great deal. You know, Sandra swears by her Sony Alpha. It was less expensive so she bought it, but she thinks it is the greatest. You may think it is the greatest for you. Awesome!!
