Art Journaling ~ How Do We Connect?
Hello Art Journaling friends!! I hope today finds you well! This week I want to talk about our theme for the month of June: Connect. Cheryl has posted our week one challenge and she says this:
Our word prompt for this month is CONNECT. We all know what connections are; we make them every day in our online communities, as well as in all phases of our personal lives. The Cambridge Dictionary defines the word CONNECT as “to join or be joined with something else”. That’s pretty basic, isn’t it? However, as I delved deeper, I was fascinated with what the word really means. We connect to the internet, for instance, when we come online, but the word CONNECT or CONNECTIONS goes much deeper than that. I found some very meaningful quotes when I started preparing my challenge for this week. You’re welcomed to use any of them, or come up with your own, or don’t use any of them. You know, by now that these are just springboards for your creativity.

As human beings, we are wired to need and crave connection. There are many ways that one can show this emotion. This month’s challenge is to find a way to convey connection. I belong to an online community called “Connect” and it is a place to join like minded people and join in on conversation, fun, and support.
