Hello my friends!!! It’s been a little inconsistent around here with the server upgrades and different things going on in my life, but I promise to be on the ball again!!

With the sad news of Scrap Girls closing, we have had an influx of new people to be inspired by, and new friends to make. While I know it’s been hard for them, I hope we have become a welcome place for them to become part of a community again. We welcome you all!!!

This month, we have been focusing on the word “RENEW” as our prompt for the art journaling challenges. (all pages are linked to their gallery)

Cheryl’s entry for week one was this very colorful and word art heavy piece:

For week 2, the topic was tweaked a bit to include:

 “The soul always knows what to do to heal itself. The challenge is to silence the mind”. The mind isn’t always so easy to silence and I’m still waiting for my soul to know what to do. Meanwhile, I have to take heart in this particular quote.

Tracy joined in and gave us this page. I was struck by her comments about her page and talking about Quieting the “scrap police” in her head. I totally relate to it. AJ is not traditional scrapbooking, so it’s hard to put away those “rules”, and she did a great job!!
