This month we have been exploring the topic of “PURPOSE”, and I am always amazed at the pages that our members come up with!! I have really enjoyed watching them appear, and I can’t wait to get into the gallery and start to make comments on each of them. It’s been a weird week and I haven’t had much time to sit down and give the attention to them that they deserve!

This week is Chris’s wrap up:

Time for me to ‘fess up. This month was very difficult for me. I honestly don’t know why this was harder than other months’ topics but for some reason, it was.

Whenever I think about my purpose, the first thing that always comes to mind is being a mom. If I drill down to the core of every decision I have made in the last 30 years, the main objective always revolves around my kids. But like many of you who are in some level of empty nesting, that purpose doesn’t feel as strong (read: as *needed* 

 ) as it was when my kids were small. Since I felt adrift on a more personal level with regard to the subject, I focused on the quotes that were given. I picked the ones that resonated and thought about how a person’s purpose can shift over the years. Over the course of this month, I reflected on those changes and am learning to be more accepting of myself in this period of transition.

For this month’s wrap-up, I’d like you to think about the changes in your purpose. These purposes can be your long-term roles in life, the different hats you wear in a short period of time, or perhaps how your layouts for this month changed as you viewed your purpose each week. As I thought about this week’s wrap-up, I focused on how the struggle to define my purpose changed my perspective. Each week, I fought with myself but learned a little more about how I view my role in life.
