Do you ever have those moments where you wonder what your purpose is? Those existential thoughts cross my mind more than a few times in my life…

This month we are focusing on purpose.

Purpose is the guiding force that shapes our choices, fuels our passions, and gives meaning to our journey. It’s the reason we get up in the morning, the quiet whisper that keeps us moving forward, and the deep-rooted intention behind everything we create.

This challenge is an opportunity to reflect on what purpose means to you and how it manifests in your life and creativity.

How can you explore “Purpose” in your art journal?​

• Reflect on what drives you. What passions, values, or dreams shape your sense of purpose?
• Depict symbols of direction and intention—a compass, a lighthouse, a path, or anything that represents clarity and focus to you.
• Use words, textures, and colors that evoke a sense of meaning, motivation, and fulfillment.
• Explore the ebb and flow of purpose. Sometimes, purpose is clear and strong; other times, it shifts and evolves. How has yours changed over time?

I was having a really hard time with this topic – probably because I am in that stage of menopause, and the end of the family rearing days and the beginning of retirement days. This is what I came up with:
