Art Journaling ~ What’s Your Connection?

SusiePBlog

Hello Art Journalers!!! Vicky is our host this week:

We all want to be connected – to feel connected – in some way, shape, or form. Connection provides a sense of belonging, reduces feelings of isolation, and contributes to overall mental and physical health. Having supportive relationships allows individuals to share experiences, process emotions, and feel validated. Connection can foster a feeling of being part of something larger than oneself, whether it’s a community, a cause, or a shared interest.

Your challenge for this week is to journal about something that makes you feel connected. I’m looking forward to reading about it!

Synonyms to consider:
links
relationships
relations
relatedness
interrelations
contacts
friends
acquaintances
allies
colleagues
associates
bonds
ties

Quotes to Inspire:
In my deepest, darkest moments, what really got me through was a prayer. Sometimes my prayer was ‘Help me.’ Sometimes a prayer was ‘Thank you.’ What I’ve discovered is that intimate connection and communication with my creator will always get me through because I know my support, my help, is just a prayer away. Iyanla Vanzant

Vulnerability is the birthplace of connection and the path to the feeling of worthiness. If it doesn’t feel vulnerable, the sharing is probably not constructive. Brene Brown

Loneliness is proof that your innate search for connection is intact. Martha Beck

While loneliness has the potential to kill, connection has even more potential to heal. Vivek Murthy

A soulmate is someone whom, when you meet, without thinking – without letting your neocortex play into the decision – you feel an instant familiarity, a sense of connection, a longing. Karen Salmansohn

One must always maintain one’s connection to the past and yet ceaselessly pull away from it. Gaston Bachelard

Everybody laughs the same in every language because laughter is a universal connection. Yakov Smirnoff

What brings you closer to God is being in service to others. I think any religion or spiritual way of life will indicate that service to others will lead to a connection with a higher power. Steve-O

Genesis 2:7: “Then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature”

This week I have chosen to show how and why I feel connected to nature (creation). Here is my page. Credits are in the gallery.
