Art Journaling ~ How is it Going?

SusiePBlog

I am curious – how many of you tried out art journaling for the first time this week – or how many of you have dived a little deeper into art journaling? I am really hoping that by our art journaling challenges and these blog posts that I am doing that some of you may be motivated to start journaling with us!

It’s weird – lately I feel bi-polar about where my scrapping is concerned. I am doing a clean and graphic style Project 52, and I am doing a challenge with Rachel Jefferies and Lynn Grieveson for the month of January with art journalilng prompts. I am having a hard time switching from AJ to clean and simple and then back again.

This week’s Art Journaling Challenge was posted by Cheryl. She says, “Hello and welcome to the January, Week 3 AJ Challenge. Our word for January is RESET and what a wonderful word it is. To me, it’s just full of possible new beginnings, but also for me, personally, there are still challenges. I just love the word RESET, however we want to interpret and use it. Just let this word be your muse and take your creativity wherever it will.

Here are some great quotes about RESET that I found online: I hope you find some inspiration from one or more of them.

“It’s not only moving that creates new starting points. Sometimes all it takes is a subtle shift in perspective, an opening of the mind, an intentional pause and reset, or a new route to start to see new options and new possibilities” ~ Kristin Armstrong

“We all get so caught up in the moment of what we’re doing every day, it’s hard to hit that reset button and get pulled away from all that and see life from a different perspective.”Tony Stewart

“A fresh start isn’t a new place, it’s a new mindset.” – Gary John

“Sometimes the best way to move forward is to stop where you are and hit reset.” –

Kris Gage
Here’s my inspiration layout and as you can see, I did use the word RESET, but you don’t have to. I’m working hard on “resetting myself” and hopefully, my layout reflects a lighter note for the beginning of this new year.”
